He seems to have disappeared. The last we heard was the unconfirmed reports of him storming off from the training pitch shortly after the Fuller debacle.
Is it just a case that his lack of pace means he can't win his place back against Wilko? Or is there more to this?

Cant see why he shouldnt be on the bench though, gives us decent cover for both RB and LB spots.

i was nervous going into the season with Griff as either 1st choice left or right back, but he never let us down when he played, to my pleasant suprise. However with the great form of Wilko, and Kelly there too, we won't see Griff again this season until he's alking round the pitch celebrating our survival at home to Wigan ;D
After that he'll be gone

If Gary Hackett is saying that Griff and Pulis have had a major fall out then Griff must be injured!!

griff & cressy could have played their last game for stoke and on recent performance-boro inparticular diao must be walking a thin line, we can`t afford to carry players who continue to make fuck-ups, we all know what diao can do but he is`nt doing it AT ALL.

Dispite his wank pace, I still think Griffin is a quality defender, Impressed me on many occassions this season.

I saw him and Cresswell last week in the reserves against Pompey, and they weren't good enough at that level. Both of them had 'mares, so the sooner we get rid the better.

Some people have short memories.
Up until his mysterious absence Griff was having a stormer of a season.
Wilko has come in and done really well though but it would still be nice to have some sort of explanation for Griff’s absence.

It means the manager feels someone else deserves a place in the team ahead of Griff. Simple as. This is the club captain we are talking about. A player that had, had a good season up until that incident at Upton Park. Ironically, the club captain hasn't started a game since that incident, and has failed to make the bench for the past month. You cannot believe the tale that suddenly Pulis see's Griff as a weak player, after months upon months of being his biggest fan. It seems pretty straightforward to me, Pulis blames Griffin for slapgate and he has been the player that has been frozen out, and I believe that he will leave the club in the summer. A very messy situation.

He is getting paid very well to stay fit and up for selection for stoke city, all our squad players have a part to play in our battle for survival.with injuries and suspensions things can change quickly.

Did you not know he got dropped from the team and lost the team captaincy for being slapped by Fuller, and yes he was playing well and in possession was most definately better than either current fullback, both of whom lack ability or class on the ball, particularily Higginbotham who gives possession away almost every time and i feel is a weakness in the side.

We have moved on, it's a shame but you can't stand in the way of progress I'm afraid.
I quite like Griff but he's lost his pace and makes too many mistakes. I was feeling quite sorry for him, then I realised he didn't give us a second thought when he fucked off to Derby.
PS heyupna, you must watch a different game to me, I personally think Higgy has been brilliant especially as he's effectively playing out of position. One of our most consistent players.

Defensively he is sound, but offensively he is very poor, watch him in possession and you will see him hammer it forward almost every time and it comes back at us twice as quick, if you only had to consider and judge a player as a defender only, as you can in lower leagues that is fine but in the Premier league the quality in possession from the fullbacks needs to be better and i think we need to improve in that department, i do watch exactly the same game as you, but it is all about opinions and you have mine.
