Driving home tonight there's a Stoke fan on TalkSport eulogising over our support. Waiting for me at home is my ST renewal form with the "Officially the Loudest fans in England!" logo.
All good I hear you say...And yes it is, my chest swells with pride knowing that my voice is part of what on many occasions is a truly wondrous atmosphere. HOWEVER...
Let's not rest on our laurels, patting ourselves on the back for being such great supporters. Let others comment about the bear pit while we go about making the Brit even more intimidating.
We need to raise the level again to see us over the line this season. Instead of an 80th minute roar, we need to have a 90 minute roar. We need to scale the heights of visceral, blood curdling, stomach churning noise.
The Boro players must think that any any minute a red tide from the stands is going to engulf them. We've seen what it does to teams - they visibly shrink and we walk that little bit taller.
So, well done all for making the Brit what it is this season - let's save any noises of self congratulation until the job is done.
AL, AP, AS

Well said that man, we have a lot of work to do yet, starting this weekend. We could do with Pottermouth getting on the case while we are at it.

We could be 3-0 down at that point.
75th minute roar would gee the players up for the last 15 minutes and get us the 3 points.

Good first post and I hope every single fan appreciates how vital their contribution is going to be over the last home games.

Boro fans have been told to shut up at home as the noise scares a few of their older fans, Well hopefully the the noise from the Brit will scare the team a smidge if they're not used to it.

The Stoke fans really have got to pump up the volume on saturday!! If any of us just turn up to watch the game rather than ranting and giving stick to boros players I think we could struggle. I am quite amazed at how the so called stars of the premier league shit themselves because the home support are vocal - to be honest I would have thought their professionalism would have meant they could switch off and ignore us?! So anyone on this board who is a loudmouth and a gobshite at the match - scream your knackers off ;D

Potters 1863 It was me on Talksport and i make no aplogies about proudly stating how good our support has been.
My second point you will have heard was just what the last two posters on the thread have mentioned that said professionals who have played all over europe have shit themselves.Ala Fabrecas.
The support has been fantastic and i think Saturday will see the noise up another ratchet.

I jus thope every one realises how much the support is needed on Sat and the rest of the season
Sat is a real 6 pointer, and I hope the atmosphere isn't as piss poor as it was v Bolton, couldn't believe when people were ringing itno RadioStoke saying the atmosphere was great!

This thread should stay at the top of the board at least until Saturday. Great post. We saw first hand what the 'noise' is capable of doing to visiting teams - and what it is also capable of doing to ours. There is always that danger that against lower teams the volume can be slightly less - but I agree we must blast it out - as loud and as sustained as we can make it. Lou Macari once compared the Vic, at its fiercest, as a place that gave visiting wingers the impression that if they should trip and fall into the crowd, they may never be seen again. The Brit, this season, is nearly there.

Raise the roof for the Expat Stokies all around the world.Make us all proud when we sit in the bars and watch the faces of the people who cant believe how loud we are. Start a long long chant, bouncing up in the air as you sing Tony Pullis Barmy Army.Slow down the delillah as i think some of you young uns are too excitable,as it sounds crap sometimes. We will all join in and make it a day to remember, and the feeling to be so proud of a team will see us thru.Keep the pressure on the ref for 95 minutes and boo every bad decision to put pressure on him.

I don't want to distract our fans from spewing bile and vitriol down on our enemies but maybe the club could invest in a Sound Level Meter that periodically displayed the average decibel level from each part of the ground.
Keeping it up for 90 minutes is no easy task and this could spur us on to keep up the barrage at every corner of the ground.
Having said that, getting the scoreboard to show the time seems to beyond it at the minute!

What we really need is to treat this game like a cup final...like all the other home games.
So long as people don't get on the players back, my fear if we go 1-0 down early on, then we'll do great.

Very Good Post.
I think it's for other people to comment on how loud/great our support is, not for us to make some big deal of it.
We just need to keep it up,let it come from the heart.
While I'm on........ for the umpteenth time...... can we please keep Delilah special. Pre-big match, after goals and at/towards the end , nice and slow and LOUD and scary.
Saturday is absolutely massive.
