Everton's stats make for grim reading, guys... 1. Avoided defeat in 16 of the last 17 in all competitions, winning 10. 2. Unbeaten in four Premier League matches; won two and lost two since losing 1-0, away to Manchester United on 31 January. That's their only defeat in 12. 3. Kept four straight clean sheets, and not conceded in 406 minutes (six hours 46 minutes) of top-flight football since Cristiano Ronaldo's winner from the penalty spot for Manchester United six weeks ago. 4. Not conceded from open play for 450 Premier League minutes (seven hours 30 minutes) since Robin van Persie's 90th minute equaliser for Arsenal in the 1-1 draw at the Emirates on 28 January. 5. Conceded 28 goals in 28 Premier League matches. 6. Dropped just two points out of the last possible 15 at home. 7. Conceded one goal in six league games at Goodison, and failed to score in one of 11 on home soil. 8. Lost one of the 14 league games this term in which they have opened the scoring (away to Arsenal); and won one of the 11 in which their opponents have led the way (home to West Ham). 9. Lost twice to bottom-half clubs; home to Portsmouth and Blackburn. 10. Stoke could be the third of a possible seven clubs they do the double over this season, following Bolton and West Brom. Let's surprise them...GOARRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNN STOKE A Stoke win then - obvious!! C'mon Stoke!!!!

Let's surprise them...GOARRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNN STOKE well thats just killed my thoughts stone dead ;D oh well this is my opinion anyway. I've seen Everton a few times lately with mixed views, against Liverpool in the two cup ties they were excellent, BUT you would expect that bit more in derby games. Versus West Brazil at home they won 2-0 but were not that good, in fact with better finishing Brazil could and should have got something. Next v Boro, same again, Boro went in front but couldn't hold it and maybe with a bit of grit they would have. They clearly aren't the same without Arteta, and also without Anchibe (still handcuffed ;D) and Yakubu surely Abdy et al can handle Cahill and Saha. We will have to have our heads on though no doubt about it. A point for me going with Sorro Wilko Abdy Ryan Higgy LL Delap Whelan Ethers Beatts Ricci Soak it up first half, keep it level and go for it. Please ;D ;D ;D No one can handle Cahill mate no one!

If no one can handle Cahill how come Everton don't have a 100% record in those games he has played? ;D

I just hope he picks a progressive first eleven featuring players who are on form or have an attacking dimension rather than, 'his favourites' and tactics that have assured zero wins away this season
that means, Ethers, Whelan, and Lawrence all definitely start in midifeld
I just thope he doesnt default to his safety first approcah featuring Djao partnering Amdy Faye
(quite simply they are far too defensive in their nature therefore too alike - imho)

Hoping for a point out of this one. My first away game since we beat Preston 3-4 at Deepdale in 98'. Was Moyes their manager then...? Up the Potters - lets do it

If we win this game I will stand outside the Potteries Shopping Centre naked. Ok, we've made a note of that.... I'd be very happy indeed with a point and I reckon we've got a serious chance of that.

for me its all down to how we approach the game , Lawrence has started the last 3 and we havent lost any but he seems to be a likely casualty, Whelan best midfield player against Bolton ,its absolutley clear Sidibe and Beattie isnt right away as we have no pace to relieve the pressure so Fuller has to start if we sit back and play for the last 20 its another long depressing journey home if we hope to give as good as we get and play 40 % of the game in their half put our best 11 on the Pitch to start who knows , they have got to conceed 2 sometime but we they wont if we spend 85 minutes in our own half

Would a clean sheet and a win by at least three clear goals to be to much to ask for? If not I'll have a Jimmy Beattie hat-trick as well. I bear Everton no ill-will but god, we need some away pointage.

This is a tough, tough game. Everton collectively are a very good side. I'd be very happy with a clean sheet and take it from there. For me Cahill is still their main man. Saying that if we go with our strongest team and a bit more ambition we could get something.

The last free-game, for a while, for us. The next four are all massive games against our relegation rivals, while this one is against one of the Top-6. A under-game for the dogs of Battesea. On paper anyone travelling up to Car-Theft-City should be coming home in a miserable mood and by 16:50 this place should resemble a war-zone. But you'd have said that on our last visit to ScouseLand or on our visit to Villa and we got a cracking point from each of those. Everton have more injuries than the casuality department of North Staffs General and we have our full squad to pick from. They might even let us play in Red & White (you just never know). So, for once, I'll go with Joe. An unsoiled sheet would be fantastic ... anything more would be ... well, it would be Arsenal at home. Goooooaaaaarrrrnnnn Stoke. ah
