You're a dirty bugger, one of the dirtiest in the league. You've perfected the art of committing fouls at set pieces and getting away with it and you are more than capable of taking out 3 defenders in one go when a ball comes into the box. You destroyed us at Bolton earlier in the season and you gave us trouble last night. I'd have been quite happy for Abdy to stick you in the stands.
Having said that, I'd absolutely love it if you signed for us. Hell, you'd probably even win the golden boot from getting on the end of our throws. How you're not in the England squad as the target man ahead of that diving, cheating lump Heskey I'll never know. Probably because you only play for Bolton.

Heskey only played for Wigan didn't he?

MD quite agree. KD must be a horrible player to play against. But a great player to play with.

Very good point MD. Always looks a handful and let's be honest in world football terms we're a kick and rush team and he could be as good if not better than Heskey. Wouldn't work the channels aswell but causes fucking havoc in the box. Won't get in though ..... Beatts 1st

This is the sort of player who people hate when they're playing against them, but would love them if they signed for their team.
Except, he wouldn't get in our team now, realistically?
I really like him though, an old fashioned centre forward who whilst has many tricks in order to gain an advantage,it's all done within the rules otherwise the referee would penalise him.

Very good player but a bit of a thug, would love him in a Stoke shirt.
I thought he was "bigger" than he looked in real life ???

Hasn't he played in an attacking midfield position before?

Tends to play on the right or left at the moment and supporting the one striker, but can play play up front or in "the whole"

MD,
before the start of the season, Bolton had a 2 million bid for Davies turned dopwn. Wonder if that was us? Also don't think that we would have had to break the bank to get him.
He would be a brilliant signing imho. Possibly the most underrated Prem player of the last few seasons, he gave our 2 centre halves more headaches than most this season.
He's the kind of player I'd love Mama to be. For all his huff and puff, Mama rarely wins that percentage of headers as Davies did last night, and Davies also directs them to his own team.
Would love to see Davies at the Brit - he's our kind of player. Swap for Kitson and 1 million please.

Quality Player, doesn't score many goals but you know he is going to cause no end of problems. About as dirty as Shearer as well to fair, if only he could score as many as him then he would walk into the England team. Should definitely be in the squad - much more of a threat than Crouch will ever be!
I'd go with Bunnys bid as well!

Surely you're not comparing his play with the cheating antics of the Arse Ronaldo bayern? No but a cheats a cheat and MD was arguing that Lawrence shouldn't cheat but then is arguing he wants Davies who is a cheat and it all seems a bit ironic hence the

Bayern - Davies is just an old fashisoned striker who likes to smack people in the face, thats his style. Nothing wrong with it!

I'm just gonna empty the change jar now!

I know I would love to see him at Stoke. My remark was solely aimed at him stating Lawrence as a cheat and that he shouldn't do it and then saying Davies is a cheat and he wants him.

Said Lawrence shouldn't do it, didn't say he didn't want him I'd like Davies to come and have to complain about how he cheated us a goal by man-handling 4 defenders into the back of the net single-handedly

He said we don't want that at Stoke actually! Lawrence should do it though, like Davies does it's clever play. Cahill is another one in a similar mould to Davies and Fat Sam alluded to it in his press conference. 2 very clever players in and around the box in air.

Last 3 games we have seen the four typical English style centre forwards; Crouch, Heskey, Davies and Beattie.
Crouch and Heskey seem to be in possession of the jersey when England play with a target man. With the greatest respect to our Italian manger, the two he is picking are no where near the standard of the two not in the England squad.
I would love to see us lumping the ball into the Brazilian penalty area with Davies competing for them.
Think it wouldn't work - well it did for Jack Charlton's Ireland with players who couldn't get near to the England squad.

I admire Davies for the following reasons.
1) Several years ago I was skiing in Italy and one evening getting pissed at the Apres Ski Soton were playing Man U on tele. Even in Italy there was a contingent of "life long" Manure glory hunters baying for a Manure victory. As a young lad he scored the only goal to win the game and shut those fuckers right up.
2) He plays the game wholeheatedly. I think he is the player who consistently gives most fouls away in the league that prompts Ferguson and Whinger to complain about their players needing protection. His fould arent outrageous but he competes and why shouldnt he?
3) He scores goals and as a striker you cant ask for anything more.
4) Hes not a big time Charlie like so many other prats we know of.
5) He gets on with the job like a true professional.
KD take a bow.
