I thought it was obvious why it went off?....
If they had the scoreboard going as normal after 1-0 at the beginning of the second, our players would have been clock watching and trying to hold out. Without knowing how long left, Bolton will have been getting worried and Stoke would have had to keep pushing!!!

Being in block 17 the only thing I can read on the bloody thing is the clock, people were leaving last night with over 10 minutes to go thinking there was only a couple of minutes left. That would be the Bolton fans...

If they don't look at the board they will only be distracted by "wondering" how much time is left.

"Oh and Robbo 10 who the fuck are you talking about in your post? There are loads of clubs called "United", including some arrogant pricks up the road who think that they have exclusive use of the name, you aren't pandering to their over inflated ego's are you?"
Crikey Mick has somebody pissed on your breakfast? lol
If you mentioned United, most people would think of Manchester (unless you were a Leeds or Newcastle fan talking to another Leeds or Newcastle fan in Leeds or Newcastle!), whether you despise them or not! The same was as most don't refer to us as 'City', as most assume Manchester again. Others are refered to as their nicknames usually (The Potters, Blues etc)
The only point I was making was that they have crappy electronic casio type scoreboards in the stands with simply the score and time on them!
If the club can't show injury time, does anything stop them from having a digital clock inside the ground anywhere so that supporters can work it out for themselves? I had no idea what time we kicked off, so had no idea how long was left - If there was a clock I would probably make a mental note (especially when injury time went up!)

Stokey, it may have been me and the kids leaving with about 10 minutes to go. wanted to leave about 5 mins before the end just to get off the South car park and get the kids home before 11 !!! (school night). But very annoying when it justs goes on about the man of the match, extra revenue for the club, but the clock should be there !!
Another point why did we play a couple of minutes at the end of the first half, when the clock showed 45, and then the 4th official (areshole) put the board up and we played another 1 ?
