I can remember it as if it was yesterday, I was 15 at the time.
I was in block H54, my ticket cost the princely sum of 60p.
I even remember what I was wearing, a pair of Frank Wright loafers, navy blue Levi cords, navy blue crew neck with a rather fetching penny collar patterned shirt.
March 4th 1972, what a day that was!

Brings a tear to the eye. Forgot that it was this date.
Bring on Bolton. I'll be saving a thought for those boys of 72 tonight.

I have a mate at work who books the exact anniversary date of our legendary win as a days holiday every single year since '72' and he watches a re-run of the match from start to finish without interruption, I kid you not

Don't be daft, it can't be 37 years ago today - I remember for sure that it was played on a Saturday!

Remember going on a bus from my dads work. I was 13.
Remember a mini on the motorway. Originally white, someone had stuck red sticky tape on it to effect stripes.
Wonder who was driving it?

Saw TC make his debute as a sub home to Sheff Utd one night match. Found it difficult to see how he managed to stand on such skinny white legs. Brilliant player and an absolute legend.

Its terrible the way that cup has been de-valued in the modern game but that Stoke team will always be legends for our football club
