Boro', Blackburn, Pompey and Newcastle are all capable of this level of play on their day. We're not, and this is why I 've felt for most of the season that we'll (bravely) come up just short. Bottom three; Hull Stoke WBA I'd, gladly, eat two humble pies if I'm proved wrong. Sad to say i think you could be right fella

Agree that Bolton now becomes a massive game for us. Anything down at Villa would be a bonus (which I can't see us getting, but you never know ...).
We have to now beat the teams around us and hope some other results start to go our way (this one certainly hasn't).
However, I do think ruts has a point ... Boro, Spoz, Castle (and maybe Blackburn) are capable of pulling wins out of the bag ... We are going to find it tough to do the same (but we need to start v Bolton on Wednesday)

at least we still have boro and blackburn to play at home, they are now probably our 2 biggest games remaining, win both and we have a massive chance

I think that before last weekend most people doing their end of season run in calculations would have had bankers down for a Stoke win against Pompey and a Liverpool win against Boro this weekend.
It just goes to show that the run-ins on paper don't really have as much signifcance as we would like to hope they would.

Don't get me wrong, fellas, I'll still be there on Weds singing my conkers off...
Big players win matches, I'm banking on James to save our bacon.
Abdy needs to cripple Davies first 10 mins and we might be ok...
GO ON STOKE !!!

Wigans equaliser against Chelsea has put Liverpool back to 2nd...a position they don't deserve today.....useless Lampard scored in the 90th to put liverpool back to 3rd position in the table. A place dropped is a fair reflection of todays dismal offering....serves em right

Never thought it was possible to hate those Scouse tossers anymore than I do, but they've proved me wrong, the useless wankers.
The one thing that cheers me up is the knowledge that they'll never win the League.

Benitez is one of the worst managers in this league, he is absolutely laughable. He knows how to do well in the Champions' League, but other than that the man is cheating a living...like most Liverpool fans.
See what I did there?

He knows how to do well in the Champions' League, but other than that the man is cheating a living...like most Liverpool fans. See what I did there? Yeh, he's good in the cup competitions because it's over a short period of time, but over the course of a season he hasn't got the brains of, and really I hate to say this, a Ferguson or Wenger. Benitez thinks he is clever and is forever tinkering with his team selections, for instance, remember when Crouch used to be there, he'd score a couple of goals in one game and then find himself sitting on the bench for the next couple of games, this is a stupid policy, you should reward players who score by selecting them, not punish them by dropping them They need to ship him out, they'll never win the league with him there, he doesn't have what it takes over the course of a long season. Then again, I suppose he might be doing it on purpose ? perhaps he want's the sack ???
