The 39-year-old answered bail earlier and was questioned by City of London Police officers, BBC Home Affairs Correspondent Danny Shaw said. She was arrested on suspicion of a new offence and later released on bail. Ms Brady was previously arrested in April 2008 along with the club's co-owner David Sullivan. City of London Police said those arrests were over allegations of false accounting and conspiracy to defraud and were part of an "ongoing investigation into football corruption". Mr Sullivan was not required to answer bail on Tuesday. In a statement, the police force said six people were on bail as part of the inquiry.

Karren Brady, one of football's most high-profile figures, was facing fresh questions today over alleged corrupt transfer dealings. The Birmingham City managing director was being questioned for a second time by City of London police fraud squad detectives. She voluntarily attended a police station in the City this morning accompanied by her solicitor. Ms Brady is one seven football personalities - including Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp - facing investigation into alleged transfer bungs. Police passed a file on their inquiry to the Crown Prosecution Service last July. Detectives from the City police's economic crime unit are understood to have been working closely with a specialist team of investigators from the Inland Revenue. Ms Brady and Birmingham co-owner and porn baron David Sullivan were first arrested in April last year on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and false accounting. Detectives are understood to be investigating dealings surrounding the £300,000 transfer of Aliou Cissé from Birmingham to Portsmouth in 2004. The deal was handled by football agent Willie McKay, who is also believed to be involved in other transfers under investigation by the City squad. Other high-profile figures who have been arrested include Mr Redknapp, who at the time was manager of Portsmouth, Milan Mandaric, the former Portsmouth chairman and now Leicester City chairman, Amdy Faye, the former Portsmouth player, Peter Storrie, the Portsmouth chief executive, and Mr McKay.All remain on police bail and face further questioning from detectives. Police are probing transfers involving Senegalese international Faye. In November last year police said they were examining new evidence in the two-year-old investigation. At the time a police spokeswoman said the further information meant officers would have to conduct additional enquiries in the UK and abroad. It is not clear if these have now been carried out. The City police investigation has faced criticism over the length of time and the cost involved in the case. Earlier this month it was reported that the Operation Apprentice inquiry had cost the taxpayer £250,000 in wages. www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23638364-details/Karren+Brady+quizzed+over+transfer+dealings/article.do

Passed her on the stairs going down to the bar at the old Victoria ground many years back. That night Pesch was sat with some Blues supporters and told them he would be back at Birmingham before the end of the season- he was of course.
Have to admit she was fairly tasty back then.

Anyone remember that loony Derek Pavis who owned Notts County? He refused to allow her into the director's lounge after a game saying women didn't belong in football. A few weeks later he appointed his wife onto the Notts County board before naming their new stand The Derek Pavis Stand. Made mad monk Machin seem sane.
Is Pesch still playing anywhere these days?

Something is awry there.
Personally think it is very funny. This woman is lauded to absurd levels, despite being extraordinarily average at her job. St Andrews is virtually always half full, she charged Villa fans £15 each more to get in at the last Birmingham derby and despite being owned by men with a combined wealth that runs into Billions, she cannot keep them in the Premier League.
There are some spectacularly successful women in Business, which makes it all the more confusing that this hatchet faced shithouse manages to get the publicity she does.
And i've seen her very recently at a Chamber of Commerce thing and no, you fucking absolutely wouldn't.

It was rumoured she was often part of the signing on fee...and Sullivan offered her a directors position with his company at the age of 20...must be a very 'talented' girl.

Rumour in Birminghamland has always been she was a publicity stunt that "had" something on Sullivan, hence her staying as long as she has.
One thing is for certain, BCFC are shambolically run and she's managed to cling on.

Vestan Pance,
I think you'll find if you look back at the history that they were in the same shambolic state that we were when she took over.
There avarage attendance was 12,000 and their breakeven was 15,000. I don't think she's done a bad job at all if you look at those facts.
And yes, i definatly would, not just for the looks but for the fealing that she's a dirty slut in the board room as well. ;D

menorcasi, I'm not looking for an argument mate but since Sullivan & Gold have spent millions and millions (remember she hasn't had to generate this oney) and they have sustained a yo-yo relationship with the Premier League, they cannot fill the ground. And in the WM, her name became mud when they charged Blues fans £32 for the Birmingham Derby, and Villa fans £47. Birmingham City are going nowhere fast, and she's simply not the great business genius she appears to have convinced some that she is. She's an average CEO who has the forune of being backed by two Billionaires. And i don't like her
