Stoke had 2 trialists on show at Leicester tonight.
One was a keeper of Austrian origin, and the other was a Dutch striker.
Names will be revelaed in tomorrow's Sentinel...

Keeper was OK and worth a second look.
The Dutch man (who I haven't heard of) was (in Richie de Laet's words) awful!
Remind me tomorrow (if you are interested) and I will tell you a bit about him as I had a lengthy chat with him

On that performance I would certainly say no!
Oh yes, I also had a quick chat with TP and he refused to rule out the possibility of signing Harewood- they are "trying their best"

Oh yes, I also had a quick chat with TP and he refused to rule out the possibility of signing Harewood- they are "trying their best" Good stuff But I can't see their best being good enough. If they're genuine, you've got to admire their ambition. Even if it's just on loan, our contribution to his wages for 5 months would set us back a small fortune But I suppose he would make a MASSIVE difference to us potentially getting the Premier millions, so it'd be pretty much a drop in the ocean.

He no doubt does have a plan B.
He laughed at the Agogo rumour, so that is clearly an agent trying to stir something up!

Knowles,
Quick question to the players and TP
Are you seen as a journolist, Cus' I know you write the reserve reports, Saying "I know" s wrong. I think you do thats why I'm aksing, or are you seen as a keen (or nosey) Stoke fan.
Also are you a journo by trade or is it something you do as like a hobby
Do the sentivale pay your petrol for away reserve games?

A-teen. Like you say, I do write the reserve reports.
I try and keep quiet when finidng this information out otherwise they probably wouldn't give it to me!
I asked Pulis and Mark O'Connor last night who the trialists were and they wouldn't tell me. I ended up asking the players themselves.
It's something I do as a hobby- its good fun, and something I could definately get into full time (if the opportunity arose)
So, to answer your question- I am seen as a 'keen' (or sad) Stoke fan!

KE- the identity of the players were being kept quiet so they played under the names of exisiting Stoke players (Steve RYan and Dean McCormick)

Cheers.
That said, your 201(& a 1/2?) Sentohell word limit doesn't really let you tell us a fat lot about them really, so to embellish your report: were they any cop?
Sounds like the keeper fared better than the "striker"?

Right, the keeper is Austrian. Made a decent save from Fryatt. Fairly good distribution after a couple of early mis-kicks. Had no chance with the winning goal, and was exposed for Leicester's first.
He currently plays at SV Mattersburg in the Austrian Bundesliga as their number 2. Interestingly, they have Carsten Jancker as their main striker (German bald fella).
Formerly played for Austria Vienna, and has repersented his national team at under-19 and under-21 levels.
As for Patterson. He was very poor. His trial ends on Friday and I don't think we will see him again! To be honest, he looked lost on the field.
He described the English game as very different to in Holland. "It's all long balls" he said.
He played as a youngster at PSV and Vitesse alongside Mark van Bommel and Ruud van Nistelrooy which he was very proud of.
At the age of 20, his father died and he drifted out of the game. A couple of years ago he decided to play again at grass roots level. From what he told me, he did sufficiantly well to earn a contract at PSV (perhaps for their C team?!!) and is currently on their books.
He is now 27.
What amazed me was that the 'real' Stoke players didn't know the names of these trialists. They were literally playing a match with strangers!!
