If giving it to the whole team isn't allowed the Wilko just shades it. What a performance today!

tough one, Sorro, did what he had to, could of light a cigar today though 7 Pugh, distribution poor first 10 minutes but was immense after 7 Shawcross, at his best, as usual 9 Faye, just how good is this bloke? 9 Wilko, simply superb 9 Etherington, the bloke is sheer class. another assist today 9 Whealan, steady and simple, faultless 8 Faye, awesome shrugged the injury off and did the biz 8 Delap, lost his head stupid sending off 4 Beattie, 2 goals and 1 assist in the last 3 games a legend in the making 9 Fuller, I don't know where his head is at, poor today 5 Creswell, worked his cock off as usual 7 Sonko, steadied the ship at the death 5 Griff, always a cool head in the heat of battle 7 Man of the match, a real tough one. i'll dip for Etherington but anyone could of won it.

I'd also go for Shawcross. Defensively excellent and could have scored from a few set pieces as well.

I thought Shawcross but it could have gone to a few today.
Beattie, Abdoulaye and Etherington were all outstanding too.
Word of warning though, although I thought Pugh did ok he looks out of his depth at left back.
Anyway well done lads thats a massive result for us today.

The whole of the back 4 and midfield were that good today that I could have played in goal and we would not have conceded!!
If I had to pick anyone I would have to go for Shawcross with a mention in dispatches for Danny Pugh.Danny will run Mama pretty close for the most improved player of the season if he keeps up his recent form.

Shawcross for me. Under the cosh for such long periods in the 2nd half and I thought he was fantastic. Apart from being defensively excellent (again) today, am I alone in thinking we didn't play particularly well overall? Some brilliant stuf from Beatts and Ethers tho!

Spot on ratings but Ryan was man of the match for me. I really do think he could play for England in a few years, hopefully whilst he's with us

Sorensen 8 - Not a great deal to do, but dealt with everything that went at him very well Pugh 8 - Spot on, made some good tackles and his distribution was pretty decent Shawcross 9 - He gets better each week Faye 9 - Again, not a foot wrong and kept Robinwho? out of the game Wilkinson 9 - Would be 8, but the way he took the ball off Robinho's foot was sheer class Delap 6 - He had been playing OK, and although I don't think he should have gone, he brought it on himself Amdy Faye 8 - won all the loose balls and played most of the game with a bashed head Whelan 8 - Worked hard, won a lot of tackles, played some nice football too Etherington 9 - The bloke is class, can beat a man and provided the cross for the goal Beattie 9 - Great header and looked very sharp, his header won us the game Fuller 6 - Was poor IMO and didn't really look up to it Subs Cresswell 7 - Gets a lot of stick but didn't do much wrong today Griffin 7 - Nearly gave away a penalty but did everything else OK Sonko * - Wasn't on long enough to really do anything

Totally agree with pmjh. Shawcross. A great athlete who is developing the timing that characterises all quality defenders. I can't wait for the day he catches Capello's eye. Let's hope he is still a Stoke player at the time.

All 10 were heroes today and made me extremely proud! Abd Faye an absolute 6 foot wall thick terraced house of a centre back with skills to match and reads the game like a book. Shawcross - superb + honorable mention for Wilko, most improved, showed a cool head despite having lot's to Etherington, Pugh, Glenn & Meaty all bought their A game
