Fuller was injured, limping around the pitch.

When your down to 10, Creswell is ideal and Fuller does not run enough so it was good swap IMHO - even better now we won !!!

Perfect sub in my eyes. We needed a battler, and Fuller isn't. Apart from the fact that Fuller had had to have stitches in his arm, Cressie was perfect for the situation, and yet again, worked his arse off

agree creswell was the right sub in that situation

Cresswell was the righ tman to bring on. Fuller probably would have got frustrated at being on his own, his arm was cut to pieces and he was limping about.

Called it at half time - it was the sensible and logical substitution today
At least starting with Ric and BT showed a sign that Pulis is going to be more adventurous at home

Cresswell gives away too many free kicks around the box

Anyone think Lawrence should have come on instead of Cresser?

Eton's right......Kitson would have been my choice too..... if he'd been playing regularly.

Fuller was shocking before he got injured
For a side that showed grit, battle and fight for eachother, Fuller was the antithesis of this today
He owes us a performance for the debacle against West Ham which cost us the game and, today, he contributed nothing
His passes were sloppy, he ran himself into trouble taking on too many players and his vision and workrate were poor.
Now we have Lawrence coming back and Etherington on form, I suspect our style of play (with no Mama) might suit Kitson more than Fuller

Superb decision. Anyone who couldn't understand it knows nothing about football. This was the decision that enabled us to hang on.

Anyone think Lawrence should have come on instead of Cresser? I agree, Lawrence would be better to hold the ball in the team. Cresswell loses the ball too easy.

more luck than judgment way to negative tactics against a team made up of individuals

more luck than judgment way to negative tactics against a team made up of individuals Even after today, you still can't give any credit to the second greatest manger we have had in 50 years. Pulis had a superb game. If you thought your team has a poor manager you are on the wrong message board. We are Stoke City not Man City. Bringing on Cresswell was absolute genius. Give Pulis and Cresswell the credit they deserve otherwise there is a danger we have to tell your nurse that you're having another of your funny dos

Interesting dynamic just after Delap got sent off and Fuller was obviously injured... Cressy and Kitson warming up in front of me, Fuller goes off to change his shorts.. Then Kitson just walks off into dressing room, only to return at half time.. The Cressy went on.. Very strange!!!

It was the right sub! No luck in it. Pulis knew exactly what he would get from Cresswell and got it. Great decision. Well done Tony!

A good team had scored on us today, no doubt. We can't play like that. Ab Faye had one horrible missed marking, and also Wilko had one totally out of position who easily could have ruined our day. We must hold the ball more, instead of both the defence and midfield on the 18 yard box for 45 minutes.
This was what I saw imediately when Cresswell was put on.

you know shit all abouit football if you think that was a good sub Young man football is a game of opinions. Sometimes you have sympathy for the other person's point of view. However, on this occasion you are so wrong you are embarrassing yourself. For goodness sake give it a rest.

Agrre Pulsi bringing Fuller off was the right thing to do even if he wasn't injured...3 against a possible 5 man man city midfield woul;d have been catastrofic. Beattie a better man at holdin the ball and getting other players invo9lved I though Lawrence would have a been a beter option, as he is just a swuick and as just got as good of 'an engine' as Cresswell as, also he's better in front of goal!

No idea what it will take for our Player of the Season to get a game.. I agree it is easy for you to say now 'it was the right decision' but if we had lost would you have been saying the right thing? It was the alamo we could not keep the ball outside our half and if it wasn't for some woeful finishing from Citeh we would have been mauled over !!
A great performance from our back four today kept us in the game
