£3 million is a snip! Two good feet and a sublime passer of the ball. Just needs to sort his head out a bit and he could be one of the best, but he'll probably end up flattering to deceive.

Worth a punt? Too bloody right- the lad is quality. Far rather have him than someone like Fabian Delph. Since he played against us at the age of 16, Huddlestone has shone out like a beacon and, for me, it is only a matter of time until he gains his first England cap.
How is he less than half the player Joe Ledley is meant to be? It's barmy!!

Knowles, he seems to have all of the necessary attributes but there's something nagging me about his long-term prospects. I don't think he'll ever get many caps for England but he's got the skill. He can be a trifle petulant and occasionally glides serenely around thye pitch instead of getting stuck in, but he's got more talent than a few of the other mooted midfielders and I can't believe he'd go for only £3 m. Stick him in the centre for us and he could ping balls about left, right and every which way. It's not going to happen though is it?

I think he's a quality player, always looking for that 'killer pass' or 'killer ball' and can not half strike a ball either. My mate from uni is very good mates with him and he says string as fuck, theres no pushing him off the ball... big black bloke, Pulis perfect player c'mon Tone!
A nottingham lad, so would be close to friends and family up here!

He does seem a bit like a fat, slightly immobile Glenn Hoddle. Not sure he's cut out for the modern game. Got bags of ability though. I'd love to see him here, but he's not exactly an Amdy Faye, is he?

I'm moist down there at the prospect of this lad coming, but it's not a prospect, as I unfortunately don't see it happening. 6m on Ledley, or 6m on Huddleston & Johnson? I know what i'd rather. Imaging a midfield line up of : Lawrence Huddlestone Johnson Etherington Pipe dream

I've always thought he's a decent player, skillful, strong and versatile, just hope he isn't one of those who'll never leave Landan.

Quality, quality player if he becomes a little more mobile. Absolute snip for £3m. Steam in Pulis.

dadofsam.
He was born and bred a midlander...
lived in nottinghjam until he was about 18, he was even living up her when he first moved to spurs... split between here and Essex, where he lives now!
All his mates and family are up here.. So the 'never leave london' argument is bollocks

On his day he's a good player, but has a tendency to be lazy and a bit of a stroller. Possibly not what we need when we've got to kick bollock and brain to have a chance of staying up.

Hmm, Undoubtedly a good player, and far superior to what we have, but I don't know about him being a 'sublime' passer - good at spraying it around to the wings and playing it neat, but I can't say I've seen him make loads of defence splitting passes into the area or anything. Does have a sledgehammer of a shot though.

But if picked out a long pass to present Beattie with a couple of goals a game I could handle that. Don't think Tone would go for him, but I would be happy with Huddlestone for sure

Then again if he failed to track back and lost his man and cost us the game, then not so much.

Interesting that Huddlestone is also a client of Base Soccer. Maybe when we couldn't get Ledley, the agent's talk turned to others on his books who may be available?
I'd like to see him at Stoke - big and strong, but composed on the ball and a very good passer with a rocket shot. Not the quickest, but our gameplan is hardly built on pace (save for Ricardo) is it?
Go on, Tone,. tap up your old mate 'Arry - surely he will do you a favour after you gift wrapped 3 points for him the other night?

Huddlestone, would be the ideal holding midfielder, enabling someone to bomb up and support the front men. Base soccer, perhaps we should ask Dalton Potter

It always amazes me when fans call players flabby, the average weight of a football supporter is about 19 stone!!!!
For me Huddlestone is a quality player much better than what we already have.

potter89...yeh he looks chunky but he aint fat but the lad has real quality which we need.
Id rather have a fat (ur words) Huddy that can use a ball properly than a fit Cresswell who is wank when he has the ball.

Would be a welcome addition to our midfield and much better value than Bullard or Ledley in my opinion.
