Look I was there last night getting behind the boys thankyou very much. I do however have things concerning me about what I saw. I prefer not to shout abuse or boo the players at the match, so I choose to come on here, like many others do to vent my spleen.
If you don't like it don't read it. The 'players might read some of this' line is getting very tiresome now. We know they do , and if they get upset about what is written then they need to get a grip. It's a site full of fans hiding behind screens and keyboards. If you get upset or take things personally then it's time to log off.

YES THE TOUHEST LEAGUE BUT WITH THE WORST FINANCIAL SENSE MANAGER IN THE WORLD[/quote Yeah fair enough, some of his signings such as Ollie and Sonko have not worked out, but lets not forget the following; Shawcross Fuller Sidibie Abdy Faye Tommy Sorenson Beattie Etherington Lawrence Diao Even Alex Ferguson cocked up for example; Djemba Djemba Taibi Kleberson Bellion

H Look at the table mate, and look at our recent performances against Chelsea, Liverpool and Man U. We still have a VERY good chance of staying up.

For every Abdy there is a Paul Williams For every Etherington there is a Sweeney For every Fuller there is a Pericard
etc etc etc
He has made some good signings and some poor signings. Ultimately though the lions share of money happens to have been spunked on poor players.
H
I don't need to look at the table to tell me that we lost to Manure, drew with Liverpool and lost to Chelsea and we are second from bottom. It's all very well doing well , but ultimately only getting 1 point from 9. Regardless of our home form, if we don't start performing away from home and picking up points we will be down. Last night we were as poor as I think we can be, but I don't think any team will let us bulldoze them.

Yeah, he really spunked the "big money" on players like Williams, Sweeney and Pericard....
|
|
|
Post by RAF on Jan 28, 2009 15:40:30 GMT
I was referring to Oli, Faye , Tonge, Soares, Sonko , Davies et al.
We didn't have big money available when Williams, Sweeney and Periwinkle we acquired. I was using those names as examples against decent signings.

YES THE TOUHEST LEAGUE BUT WITH THE WORST FINANCIAL SENSE MANAGER IN THE WORLD Knob. Fuller - £500,000 Lawrence - £500,000 Mama - Free Higgy (first time around) - £225,000 All of these players have been instrumental to either the promotion push or the season so far. Yes, there have been some hiked fees this season, but that's the pill you have to swallow when you're a Prem club. What about Ferguson? Are his transfers all so shrewd? Veron - £28 million - sold two years later for half that.

Knob
Just remind me exactly where in the league Fergusons team are ?
We cannot afford to lose big money on dodgy signings, Manure can. That's why Pulis has to be sure he is signing the right player for the right money. It's simple really

I was responding to the claim that Pulis is the, quote, 'worst financial sense manager in the world,' which is clearly bollocks.

Because Fuller is just back from a suspension and we have to be careful with his knees when he has not been playing. Kitson clearly is not match fit yet from coming back from his injury!

How do you get match fitness if hes not playing him
|
|
|
Post by RAF on Jan 28, 2009 16:01:14 GMT
If he wasn't match fit, why would Pulis play him in the important Liverpool game? And having played him for that game, why not continue with him instead of Cressie? Something isn't quite right.
