Especially when we leave out Ricardo Fuller.... Bringing in the likes of Riggott is about as much use as buying a box of faggotts for the Canteen...It's not enough. We need quality not Olifijana,Cresswell,Wilkinson,Pugh, Cort, and "Barney McGrew".... Where Hull have succeeded and we have failed is getting fewer but Better footballers I'm afraid. Our possession is pretty awful and with a goal difference of -18 and 21 points then the writing is on the wall....unless we play to our strengths, and even then it is going to be a very tall order. We've dabbled and fiddled on the transfer front...when what we should have done is bring in Bullard. There is no one better for the money....so what are we likely to get do you reckon...? More of the bleedin same..

We have a 'ready made' Championship winning squad.
It's a bit like going to Leek market as opposed to Marks and Sparks.

More of the bleedin same.. Approaching £30m of dabbling and fiddling later, mumf, I really don't know. £17m worth of the buggers didn't even start. You're turning on your Messiah are you? He should have played Kitson tonight that was obvious. Sorro, Faye, Higgi, Etherington and Beattie are the only good signings he's made imo. The jury is still out on Davies, Kitson, Soares and Tonge but deep down they're not good enough. Kitson can be if we played him but there is more chance of pigs flying. Sonko and Seyi are not good enough. Yet I still think we can compete in this league and stay up

I said at the very start of the season what I thought of these signings, and also stated my reservations about Kitson.
Sadly my instincts are begining to look correct...I even remember Mermaidsal agreeing with me too...A women...Bloody hell.!

I wouldn't give the man another penny to spend. If we survive with what we've got great if we don't hopefully we'll come back stronger but it would take another £50m to create any kind of creativity/skill into that team.

I think Mumf realises Pulis is a lower league manager who got lucky through his mates in the game and a very supportive chairman.

I think Mumf realises Pulis is a lower league manager who got lucky through his mates in the game and a very supportive chairman. I would not call Pulis a lower league manager, but what I do think, is that the pressure is getting to him and he needs to listen to what people are telling him.. Perhaps Gerry Francis and him, are a contradiction in terms of how we should be playing and selecting on the field of play. There is no 'in between' I'm afraid... We have had some great results...Liverpool etc, but we cannot carry on without drastically assessing the attributes of omitting the Likes of Fuller from the start of the game.

There's a thick crust of mediocrity running right across the midfield...and as Denis Smith said tonight ..."We need someone like Alan Hudson in midfield to run the show.."

Or Micky Bernard, or Calvin Palmer, or Eddie Clamp, yeah, Eddie Clamp, or Eric Skeels, or George Eastham, even Dobing. Or practically anyone that Pubis hasn't had a chance to get his mitts on.

Looks as though mumf has finally woken up to the fact that Pulis is a man out of his depth.
TP has done a good job for SCFC
now is the time to bow out gracefully to give himself some degree of pride and credibility
I just hope PC can persuade him.

i don't trust pulis / stoke to bring in the quality players we need now. there's only 5 days left and it takes us about 3 days to wrap any signing up. speaking of tone's signings, where the fuck is this andrew davis ? is he seriously worse than wilko or sonko.

What a load of old shite.
Brown brought in Gardner we brought in Faye
Gardner has played 3 games for them.
We brought in Sorro they brought in Tony Norman.
We brought in Beattie, they fucked about with King who caused trouble then fucked off.
OK they have 6 more points than us but that with respect to them has been achieved largely by their Championship players.
The only exception is perhaps Giovanni (but we got Etherington)who has now gone off the boil.
Agreed that the midfielders that we are relying on just arent cutting the mustard but Bullard hasnt played for Hull yet and hes going to have to have some outstanding games on £40k a week to be worth the money.
If tP can get a midfielder of the stature of the Faye, Sorro and Beattie then we have every chance of staying up which is something all of us would have taken in August.
Alternatively who would the moaners suggest we replae him with?

can't credit pulis' signing of sorro, he was third choice keeper behind frank carson and some other fucker from blunderland, its by default of them telling us to get stuffed that we luckily ended up with sorro.

If tP can get a midfielder of the stature of the Faye, Sorro and Beattie then we have every chance of staying up which is something all of us would have taken in August. Alternatively who would the moaners suggest we replae him with? i agree totally!!! it's the same as it was with the Chelski match, beforehand we were full of hope and pride in the players and if after the game THEY all did a sterling job, this time full of hope before the game and then afterwards it's all Pulis' fault!! Sorro, Higgy, Faye, Etherington and Beattie are great players but now people want to replace Wilko, Griff, Whelan, Pugh etc. How much money do you all think we have? What you're really all saying is thanks to the guys who got us here but now we're in the Prem you want us to buy an entirely new squad!! Get in the real world, it doesn't happen like that, Coates doesn't have bottomless pockets and the reality is you can;t always attract the quality players until you've kept in the Prem for a year or so anyway so Pulis has done well to get some of the players he has already. The simple fact is that last night (as with the Blackburn) we were woeful, inept and spineless and that is down to the players on the pitch. It doesn't matter if you play Kitson or Fuller from the start if you can't get hold of the ball in midfield and keep giving it away in defence!! By the way mumf you said that Kitson should have started and then said we can't keep making mistakes like omitting Fuller; are you suggesting we should have gone 3 up front with Kits, Ric and BT???? Bearing in mind how weak we were in midfield i think that forsaking a midfielder to have an extra man up front would have done nothing but given Spurs more reason to celebrate and to help their goal difference even more!! Take a reality pill everyone, we have just been promoted and like virtually every other team in that position we may well go straight back down, but there are plenty of games left yet and it's still V.tight down there...one or two wins and we could be back up to 13th/14th. A bit of positivity tempered with a bit of realism is needed here and the realisation that sometimes you can't just blame TP for everything, at some point i think (especially last night) the players are going to have to start taking a bit of responsibility. They were immense against Chelsea but last night looked like they weren't all that bothered and when they get out on that pitch that is quite simply down to them NOT TP or Coatesy. p.s i'm not a TP groupie just a fan who lives in the real world!!

TO SUMMARIZE :
Play Beattie and Fuller from the start....There's no point bringing in Beattie if you then only play your other great asset for half the sodding game.
Bring in some midfielder who can play football and pass....A Bullard type player.
Sell that completely useless waste of space Kitson to the highest bidder...ABSOLUTE CRAP
Cut your losses Tone...Before someone cuts YOUR throat.

mumf bringing in Bullard type player would be great but my point is that if they don't want to come you have to make do with what you've got.TP can't force top players to come here and to attract them when you're relegation fodder youhave to be very lucky. We've done well to get Ethers and Beattie as it is. Who do you think we should get that might actually come is the real question

Pulis' "reputation" for being a fan of direct football does not help to encourage the sorts of player we need right now.
