if we play the rest of our games with the commitment and passion we have shown in 3 of the last 4 Prem games, yeah we have one point from those, but they were against the 3 best sides, and we weren't dicked by any of them.
We've come so far in the last 12 months its incredible, our squad has moved on to a level none of us could have dreamed about.
We've got the really worrying games out of the way, now we need to get on and start picking up points again, off our fellow teams in the bottom 10 , this 19 points malarky, piece of piss.
Remember the clock is ticking on West Ham, they have around 6 weeks now to find a buyer or they will be forced into Admin and get a points deduction.
The signings we have made this januray so far look like a few of the missing pieces, maybe one or 2 more to add and we will be laughing.
Spurs in just over a week, easy.

To be 3 points off 12 th place after 22 games is good.
We would have all taken that before the fixtures came out.
We have played all teams once except the top 3 - who we have played twice, that makes things even better.
We have to do the business in a good proportion of the crunch games. I think we might lose a couple at home but pick up a few away wins to compensate.

For my money We'll stay up
agreed, especially when you look at the remaining home games and also with Matty, BT and any other additions we will also have a good chance of picking up a few away wins

Dave i think that you will find that the premier league does not have a ruling to deduct pts from clubs entering aministration. This ruling only applies to the football league.

is there a difference between administration and insolvency?
there is this rule anyway
Sporting Sanction 60. Upon a Club suffering an Event of Insolvency: 60.1 the insolvent Club shall thereupon suffer a deduction of 9 points scored or to be scored in the League competition; and 60.2 the Board shall forthwith give written notice to the insolvent Club to that effect.

For mine, too. All I needed to do to console meself last night was to look at where we would have been in the table with a win. The Prem is such a dogfight this season (below the top tier) that it will be luck as much as anything else that determines who the bottom three are come May. Still rather gutted (I almost let myself believe they would pull it off, after Rory's sublime goal), but confident.

Top post Dave, we've been desperately unlucky to only get 1 point from these games. A draw against Spurs and a win against City at home would do just nicely. :-)

Dave i can see i'm wrong about the admin ruling, but it's wet sham we're talking about. The premier league also had a ruling about players owned by third parties if i remember correctly

West Ham are picking up wins of late, so the 9 points if they were to be deducted they would still have a decent chance of avoiding relegation

Peronally speaking - I think its going to be VERY hard now
The funny thing is that many of the clubs around us at the bottom will come to Stoke and probably play for a draw - The games against West Brom, Fulham and Hull are testimony to how those sorts of teams view us.
Tell me Im a pessimistic, miserable wanker all you like - The way I feel I dont give a fuck

Problem is all that passion and commitment was against the big four teams..
My fear is that we don't reproduce those performances against the blackburns and boltons which are the games we really should be winning.

yep staying up, we will get enough points at home, it will be so close as so many teams at the bottom need to play each other.

West Ham are the sort of club some Arab billionaire would wnat to buy though, London Premier League side with a history and strong fan base etc. So I think they'll get out of it.
