Deserves a thread of its own imo.
What a cool finish from Rory that was. And the strength he used to keep off the defenders was good too because usually when through on goal he goes off balance very easily. Everything about it oozed quality-Beatties chest and through ball and then Rorys run, strength and exquizet finish-superb!

Yes, it was a very tidy finish wasn't it.
When was the last time you saw a Stoke player dink the ball over a 'keeper like that?
I've been racking my brains and to be honest, I'm struggling...

I can't remember Dave. It was a tremendous finsish though yet they didn't show it MOTD again Yet if it was Ronaldo they'd be jizzing over it for weeks.

Reminded me of a young Michael Owen, except he didn't fall over.

Dave F totally agree about the dink, our strikers need to do it more often. Kitson tried it at Portsmoth away and the ball went just wide.

The more I watch it, the more I can't believe how easily he brushed aside the defenders, they looked like they were bricking it in case he went over for a penalty

it was a great goal - he went between Alex and Cole so easily and the finish really was to drawer- There were a couple of really nice moves in the second half -with passes and possession football and everything...

The comment about it on SSN sums up that crap company Sky. Quote 'Rory Delap scored for Stoke but not with his hands with his feet'.
So a great goal gets a pathetic comment, since when in Football marble brain can you score with your fucking hands???

Exceptional ;D
Every time I see Rory in a Stoke shirt, I am reminded of how the club stood by him when he was injured. They could have dumped him, but didn't. Every time he does something good on the pitch, I see the loyalty the club showed him being paid back in spades.
A lesson for some in football management who see players as commodities, to be bought & sold like sides of beef, rather than human beings.

Why on Earth did they just make the Tea and slowly start talking...The interviewer (Can't remember his name but I know he's a norwich fan)just seems uninterested in what he is saying ;D
His house looks nice though ;D

A great touch from beattie as well.
