Saying he'd been told Alan whiley wouldnd't be reffing Hull again. Says he cost them points at Anfield. He is NOT HAPPY with him. And says it was assualt on Manucho.

Never saw the match but if true then obviously Brown has a point.
The top teams will always get protection and 99.9% of every 50/50.

It was Keith Hacket who said it after the Anfield game. Rob Styles should have been the ref but for some reason the fourth official was used. He thinks the refs are all against him. Key decisions are going against him!

At 1-1 Manoucho was head butted by a Arsenal player in the area and for my money it was deffo a pen.

i watched it too, squeekster and i think it was unintentional. He went for the ball, quite legitimately, unfortunate injury but not a penalty. I remember Shawcross changing his blood soaked top earlier in the season from a good crack on the nose in similar circumstances...he wasn't moaning, was he?

He may have gone legitimately S25 but if you miss the ball then your in trouble unless you are one of the top 4. Watch the pen that Preston got today (the second one) no way he meant to handle it,it just hit his arm.

it's only that shiner of manucho's that's causing a stir, though, squeekster. If it was a tame knock, you know WE'D have been shouting 'get up, you girl' or similar. Admittedly though, i agree that if your face fits with the ref you're on a winner, and we have been victim of it, too...doesn't make it right, but at least us newly promoted teams are being 'fairly' shit on by prem refs

How did he conduct his team-talks this time, I wonder? Did he make the players strip down to their underpants, don bridles and draw him through the streets of Hull in one of those vans with loud-speakers on the roof like you see before local elections, horse-whip in one hand and microphone in the other, admonishing and humiliating them in equal measure?

All i was saying is that you might mean to foul eg Sonko v Blackburn although blatently stupid not meant its still a foul.

there's a definite fine line, squeekster, between foul and challenge, and i agree with you! I reckon we (stoke) are a bit too quick to jump up and play continues.
Obvious exceptions include Fuller, on occasion, and Kuyt last week, who did the right thing and carried on, or that too, could have been a peno.
I don't know if the answer is 'if you can't beat em, join em' or to be as professional as you can be ???
Sunday league is like WWF, where anything goes...so i honestly don't know where the line gets drawn ???

I would encourage the kind of tackling and aggression that we adopt, not try to eradicate it. I don't pay to watch a bunch of fairies prancing around whenever anybody goes near them and I'd far rather watch a team with passion and commitment who aren't afraid to put in sliding tackles. I'd also pay a team of people to review each match and suspend divers for three matches per dive and then dock them 30% of their wages that week for each dive.

In all fairness to Hull, they should have had a penalty at 1-1 and last week Everton scored a clear offside goal.

I don't know what he's moaning about. He put out a crap squad and didn't even place Marlon King on the bench. King was told he wasn't playing and went mental. Brown told him to leave the ground and he stormed off. I like King as a player, but I don't think he's playing with a full deck. As for Wiley, I totally agree with Brown on this one, he was awful at Anfield and cost us the game, and not much better yesterday

It should have been a penalty to Hull but Brown is pissing me off. They lost 3-1, so that decision makes it 3-2, so they still would have lost, decisions go against team every week. 70% of games are decided on refereeing decisions which are often wrong. Things like Corners, free kicks, penalties make for a massive majority of goals, and are often called the wrong way. Most managers accept some go for you, some go against you. Against Fulham they should have had a penalty, but against West Ham, their second goal was offside, so it all evens itself out. Hull got a penalty against boro wher Geovanni was a mile offside and feel over himself. Brown always blames the ref when Hull lose, he's a very bitter man.

It nice to see you don't hear Tone carrying on about the shit deals we've been dealt!
