The Soares loan to Charlton was reported last night. You'd have to assume another left back is on the way in if Dicko is on his way to Leeds - Shorey??

Wilko and Griff can play there but would prefer a new player personally

I've never been convinced by Wilko when he plays on the left. Griff can certainly play there but his injury record means he is going to miss more games as time goes by. We do need another left back (either as cover for Higgy or to allow him to move inside) now Dicko has gone on loan.

We do need another left back (either as cover for Higgy or to allow him to move inside) now Dicko has gone on loan. I'd say we also need another right back. We have Griffin, Wilko and Davies, but if Griffin is injured over a period, or have to step in in the left, it would be as important with someone new on the right as on the left. Maybe Davies can be good enough, but he hasn't shown anything so far.

i dont think we'll be signing shorey. he's not solid enough for TP and prefers to go forward than actually defend. cant see anyone other than higgy there for the foreseeable future.

luke, I wouldn't argue that we also need a right back. I assume our interest in Calve shows that TP agrees!

I'm not sure who our 1st choice right back is, i'm not even sure that TP knows?

Without knowing much about Calve, I am a little concerned at what he may add to us.

I like the look of him - we do need at least one full back who is a good attacker.

No great surprise Dicko has joined Leeds. By all accounts, he did brilliantly under Grayson at Blackpool. Good move for him. While he's up there, perhaps he could persuade Trundle to move back to Trentham

Very disappointed. Soares leaving on loan? Surely he needs to be around people like Matty Ethers to improve his trade.

If he's a decent prospect in the middle, loaning him out is a good course of action: he's never going to play there for us this season.

It wouldnt surprise me if its not with a view to a permanent move, it being in London and all that.

Just think 1.5 million is a lot to spend on somebody you're going to loan out within a few months of being at a club.
