Because we play a type of football, and I use that word with caution here, that is completely and utterly at odds with the object of scoring goals. Our principal weapon is a long throw in. We have no pace in the team so counter-attacking is a non-starter. The midfield is deliberately held back to form the defensive 8 that is leaking goals. You can go on and on. And still people here believe that the Manager should be immune from criticism. Take a look at Charlton Athletic my friends. Pulis could be pissing away the biggest windfall in Stoke's history.

without fullers goal presence, or mama's occasional goal, we have nothing. We really need goal hungry strikers, and fast. We had Thorne, Steino, Biggins, Sheron and Ritchie in our past, all of whom were good to watch and scored many goals for Stoke City. Now be honest, how many goals would these same players have scored playing in a Tony Pulis team ? I suspect not nearly as many as they did score. The problem lies with the team selection and how they are expected to play the game.

2 very simple reasons.
1 (As I stated about 12 weeks ago) Teams work us out far to easily because we only have a few methods we use. Throw ins, Set pieces and lumping it forward.
2) We have absolutely no idea how to run with the ball into a threatening position and have players positioned in areas from where they can shoot.
If option 2 is attempted and fails due to lack of player support, option 1 is resumed whereby teams can work us out and stop it happening.
It's that simple, yet the people that matter don't know.

Because we play percentage football, get the ball into "the mixer" enough times, to big powerful players and we'll score. Trouble is we don't flood the box. Keep your defensive minded midfielders close to your "good headers" defenders and force the ball out wide when they have posession and you won't concede. The problem is,that this plan was sussed 30 years ago, and that's when T.P learned his tactics, and as we know, he aint half stubborn.

we dont score goals simple no creativity in the side no speedy wingers who can cross a ball to many defensive midfielders and no attacking full backs and people playing in positions they are not comfy with tones had a long time to solve these problems and i aint got much confidence that he will solve them.
