Football clubs run for the benefit of fans. they never ever were, and anyone who thinks otherwise is misguided

still plenty of that about mate. I beg to differ. 'Sportsmanship' is now used as a tactic! Kicking the ball out used to be a genuine gesture but is now used as a tactic by most clubs. How often does the team with the player down keep the ball only to scream at the opposition to put it out when they lose possession? And how many times do world class players (laugh my feckinn backside off) like Ronaldo and Rooney feign injury or attack other players because they know very few refs will have the balls to send them off but anyone so much as looking at them funny will go immiediatley. I know ten teams in the youth club I help to run who are very sporting, we have a zero tolerance policy for abuse to refs, officials and players.
