I could watch that again and again
he picks up the ball, runs 40+ yds skips past what looks like half the vale team, including some drastic lunges, he must have beaten at least 5 players, and then pulls the ball back, with a perfect cross to an UNMARKED steino who is about 15yds out, right in the middle of the box, he slots it home..it's the 4th minute, and 6,000 ish Stokies go wild in the Hamil Rd. End.
in a few months time it will have been 11 years since that night, seeing that video has brought some powerful memories back, as soon as I saw it I rang up my mate chopper, who I went that game with, telling him to get on SCWORLD and see it.
THAT would be in my Desert Islands Game list....
I remeber walking all the way down from 'castle, via choppers house in basford......we walked down the games a lot back then, it was a few months before either of us could drive.

Please bring back the IlfordDave board so he can mumble to himself on there and not disturb the rest of us! My first Hamil Road experience was a 1-0 win for The Fail, Ian Bogey scoring after about 0.13 seconds or something ridiculous. It was all stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down and smash seats at the end. Not enjoyable.

That was one of my all time favourite Stoke matches, sheer joy in the Hamil End that night. I dont suppose anyone fancies emailing me a clever link to it?, seeing as SCWorld still haven't got round to reauthorising my account.
