www.lasprovincias.es/valencia/20080808/deportes/valencia/david-villa-garantiza-continuara-20080808.html The Valencia local paper seems to be still talking about a permanent deal to fund a move for Louis Saha? Fernando Gómez will negotiate today the transfer of Zigic with an envoy of a team of the Premier League Zigic and Saha
In parallel to the pretension to assure the continuity of David Villa, the future of the Serbian forward Nikola Zigic it begins to be sprightly.
The soccer player is in the list of transferables and, in that sense, in the orbit of several clubs of the Premier League, among them Fulham and Sunderland.
Indeed today the arrival of an agent is expected who will meet with Fernando Gomez to negotiate the transfer. The march of Zigic would be, in addition, related to the pretension of the Valencia to buy the French forward Louis Saha, who at the moment plays in Manchester United, and who counts little for Ferguson, because ahead he has to Rooney or Tévez.
Saha, of 30 years, that have played in the Newcastle and the Fulham before saturating in the United, is a bet of Fernando and its appraisal would be favorable by the continuity absence that has thrown in lack in the Premier.
The Valencia already has requested price by the player. But the Valencia is in a difficult attitude.
The appraisal of Zigic. The offers do not surpass 10 million and the player cost to the Valencia around the 15. His exit would be understood by the best one to lose than to lose more, so used in the last dates.

Maybe it's not to negotiate a loan deal, maybe it's to buy him!!!!!!!
Everyone keeps stressing that Valencia are only interested in selling.

City close to loan deal for striker zigic
Could Stoke City be about to break the bank to land a £10m striker? Well according to today's press, it's deal on .
.. STOKE City chief executive Tony Scholes is apparently negotiating a loan deal for giant Serb striker NIKOLA ZIGIC.
According to today's Daily Mirror, Scholes jetted out to Spain last night to arrange a loan deal with Zigic's club, La Liga giants Valencia, after agreeing personal terms with the 6ft 7in hitman's agent.
All this comes a few days after Tony Pulis publicly denied Stoke had offered £8m for a player also apparently interesting Aston Villa and Sunderland.
Of course, the Stoke boss never said anything about a loan deal for Zigic, so perhaps a deal is about to be done.
STOKE are weighing up reviving their £1.5m bid for Glasgow Rangers midfielder LEE McCULLOCH, according to the Daily Mail.
The paper claims Stoke are considering a new approach for ex-Wigan man McCulloch after Rangers were eliminated from Europe this week.
SAMMY KUFFOUR has told Sky Sports he has offers to play in the Premier League ... with Stoke and Newcastle both said to be keen on the Ghana legend.
The former Bayern Munich stopper is available on a free transfer after leaving Ajax at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old has had a host of offers from across Europe, and rumours suggest Stoke and Newcastle could be the Premier League clubs keen on him.
"I am a free agent and I have many contacts. Even in the Premier League there are two teams after me," he has said.
STOKE have been linked with Benfica striker ARIZA MAKUKULA.
The website TEAMtalk.com claims Hull City have withdrawn their interest in the player, who scored for Benfica in a friendly against Paris St Germain last week, thereby leaving the way open for Tony Pulis to make an approach.
OTHER players to have been linked with Stoke this summer include Barnsley skipper BRIAN HOWARD, Sunderland captain DEAN WHITEHEAD, defenders ABDOULAYE FAYE, DANNY GABBIDON and DANNY HIGGINBOTHAM, Glasgow Rangers striker DANIEL COUSIN, Celtic's THOMAS GRAVESEN, Blackburn Rovers's South African midfielder AARON MOKOENA, Ipswich Town forward JON WALTERS, Morocco striker BOUCHAIB EL-MOUBARKIand Premier League frontmen DAVID NUGENT (Portsmouth), EMILE MPENZA (Man City) and MARLON HAREWOOD (Aston Villa).

Am i reading the report right then? i thought it meant that Fulham & Sunderland were in for Saha? Might be me being stupid?? ??? Err, not sure. I think it refers to sunderfulhamland in relation to Zigic, as Saha hasn't really been mentioned in the main text by that point. I was so excited by the report the first time I didn't even notice the mention of those two clubs, and it read something like this: "Nikola Zigic is definately 100% nailed on stone-cold certain to be signing for Stoke City FC, of Stoke-on-Trent England, and not some other Stoke City from somewhere else that was invented just to piss off the people of the original, aforementioned, Stoke city. We are definately not going to sell him to Fulham or Sunderland. This will occur before lunchtime on Friday and will send the hangovers of any stoke fans who were at the british beer festival last night spiralling into uncontrolled ecstacy for the remainder of the week." "Nikola Zigic said: "Playing for Stoke City is a dream for me, and to be honest it seems just too good to be true; I won't believe it myself until I'm stood in front of the Boothen holding a Stoke Scarf muttering something about working aaard, which of course I shall be doing a lot of. Ooh Georgie Berry."

Homzy seems to have jumped on. www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,2483_3948767,00.html I'm pretty sure Pulis will deny this story today(As he has done previously) if there's nothing in it as well.

It doesn't say it is Sunderland, it just suggests that sunderland may be interested. With the press reports from today that TS has flown out to speak to his agent and Valencia then it could still be us who are in talks with the big man.
Here's hoping anyway!!!
