Says on wikipedia, that he is still at Valencia, after he turned down a move to santander, not only could he play the mama role, but he can play as a forward who can Finnish anything.
anyone know how much the bid was for in the summer, when it was accepted?

www.sport.es/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=44&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=570843&idseccio_PK=804Today's Spanish press is still talking about interest from a Premier League team, as well as Espanyol (who seemingly can't afford it) as well as Racing Santander. Zigic is complicated to Espanyol Espanyol want Zigic, but apparently cannot enter into the bidding because the numbers soar.
There was contact between Zigic of Valencia, and Espanyol left convinced that if we want to reinforce good in January that will scratch your pocket. . Valencia were predisposed to negotiate on the front and announced that it will exit assigned or transferred, but expect the best proposal. . In addition, the player will have the power to decide on equal terms. The president of Espanyol, Daniel Sanchez Llibre, went to Valencia accompanied by the sporting manager, Germán de la Cruz. The visit was important because the president had lunch with Valencia's Vicente Soriano. . And on the table will be talked about many issues, but also of Zigic, a striker who will not fit into the plans of Unai Emery and that is on the list of priorities for the great performance he gave at his spell in Racing. The club wants to sell and could have an offer from a team of the Premier within a few days. In any case, the same team that it is ready to assume a proportional share of the tab and pay something for a transfer. And it can not be said that the emoluments received by the Serbian in Valencia are just high. Moreover, there is a formal offer of Racing to get their assignment until June 30 without an option to purchase. The player maintains a very good relationship with the Cantabrian club and he attracts such a possibility although he could not play in Europe because it already has debuted with Valencia in the UEFA Cup. Both Sanchez Llibre as De la Cruz pointed out the figures correctly and the pass to sporting director, Paco Herrera, who is making further representations to sign to a striker in the winter. . There is little money and it seems that the Serb could be ruled out in coming days unless there is a surprise.

Dunno, but if it's more than about £8mil, there's Norway we can afford that.

Could he play the Mama role? People say this but Kitson was meant to play the Mama role and Parkin but couldn't. He may be tall but whenever I've seen him (very limited) he's not been too great in the air for such a big bloke.

Everton and Ajax have been linked with him in recent days, the Everton link would make sense, they'll be looking for a striker in Jan and were linked with him pre transfer window closing.

If ever we needed him is now- seem to remember was hinted was no keen on going to a team fancied for certain relegation- our decent season so far may sway that who knows. Impossible to say whay we can and can't afford as none of us know.
If we are the Prem team about to make an offer would make a lot of sense after Mama's injury. Zigic joining on the transfer window opening would be fantastic and make a lot of sense. Valencia are in a financial mess and he's not getting a look in at all.

Watched him play international level and they play similar too us, and he wins near enough every long ball for the flick on, i dont know about Valencia never seen him play for them.

Don't think he's started a league game for Valencia all season, he's played in europe though, and scored a couple.

David Moyes said on Saturday that the only players he could bring in are loan signings,so if it is us we may have a stronger hand.

I mentioned Hugo Viana the other day. A double swoop would be very nice "Villa and Silva are not going to be leaving Valencia," Gomez was quoted as saying in El Confidencial.
