Him and Lawrence never stopped running Once again you are confusing people running with playing good football. Don't 'footballers' run ??? How bizarre . . . he's me thinking running was an integral part of being a good footballer. . .

That's the point thicko - the minimum I expect from footballers is effort and running. Some Stoke fans seem to think that this is ALL that is required.

Pugs
You just need to bring a bit of realism to the table.
We are a Championship club trying to improve but we don't have that much cash to splash around.
We have made some decent strides lately in getting a better squad and hopefully it will continue.
Last night, we played well individually and collectively.
If Sidibie was a natural footballer then he wouldn't be playing for Stoke.
The lack of quality is far from frightening and this is reflected, for the moment, in the league table.
Time will tell how good and strong the squad and players really are.

Pugsley, if your mail was posted to wind people up it succedded. Sure we are not the finished article and we do lack a bit of quality in certain areas but you have gone completely OTT. To say the team is packed with poor footballers is rubbish. is A very negative unhelpful post which should have got what it deserved. ie totally ignored.

Pugs
We know you hate the current management but you are making yourself look a complete arse with such statements
footballers need a mix of qualities to compete - as you know
Stoke players have loads of grit and the team may need a little more quality and pace but first of all as Pulis knows you have to compete
Players who can compete and have quality cost the earth - meanwhile we make do with what we have until the manager unearths more gems at decent prices
Be thankful that we are in a playoff spot and can hold our own against a team costing 10 times ours

Pugsley has a point, and his comments should not be dismissed based on your stance on the manager.
Stoke played well in the 2nd half, but the first half was dire. Overall, the defence was sound as was Simmo, but Eustace, Cresswell & Sidibe were all cack. The others were in & out of the game with the exception of Pugh who was excellent.
First priority is that we need a quality central midfielder & a proper left winger so Cresswell can play up front. I just hope Sidibe loses his passport while in Africa...

I got on P&G last night registering my frustration at our left sided situation.
A bit of quality coming in from that area and we'd have won. We've muddled through with Sidbe up front not scoring and Cresswell being uncomfortable on the left.
It has to stop now. Get Creswell up front and get me a left sided player leaving Pugh in the centre and Dickinson at full back.
This is not a moan as I thoroughly enjoyed last night. If Fuller hadn't have had the week he had I'm sure he would have cracked it.
Loved the 2 full backs. Give them a run in the side.
Pugsley is on the right lines but there's not much that needs doing to this side but it does need doing quickly. A bit of pace would be nice also.

Only at Stoke would we moan about our players after such a game. Unless they moved the servers, this inner Stoke, duck ah

"Sidibe is without doubt the worst footballer I have seen - no pace no touch no end product. Parkin is a joke - he made an impact for three minutes when he came on but did miss an absolute sitter. He then preceded to make a fool of himself. Cresswell was lost on the left wing and clearly frustrated. Fuller was trying to hard and getting upset with the dross he was having to chase."
And the rimmers reckon I'm the only one who thinks this way. Well said Pugsley.

Supporters of lots of different clubs where I work (Cambridge way) such as Sheff Utd, Spurs, Cambridge, Wet Sham etc have come up to me today and said 'I wish my team played with as much guts and spirit as yours'
Without banking £60m per season then I dont think we can ask for alot more !
Fantastic effort IMHO

How about this for a team Simmo (obviously) Wilko, Shawcross, Cort, Griff Diao, Pugh Lawrence Sidibe (both sort of free role) Cresswell, Fuller
Bench Hoult Dicko, Zak Eustace Beast
Think we lack a little bit of quality, but IMO, this team is probably good enough to get play off's if not more, having said that, a couple of million on 2 or 3 decent players should virtually guarantee it, so why not go for it

The only frightening thing is the I.Q of Pugsley. After seeing Stoke play better than they have for literally decades in a high profile game he finds it within his peanut brain to slag off the side, no wonder we usually bottle it in such games when we have wankers like this as 'fans'.

Pugsley isn't slagging the team off, he's merely pointing out where we're dificient and what needs to improve to 'push on'. Some of you rose-tinted people think we've made it 'cos we're 4th and held a disappointing Premiership side to a draw. No-one doubts the tenacity of the side, we just need that bit extra and Pulis needs to sort it sharpish.
