Problem is they'll get beaten by Chelsea today and if he's sacked Shearers first game might be against us and they'll be all fired up and buoyant.

I dunno Joe, Shearer might be a huge mistake for them more often than not great players don't make great managers.

I agree njkk but he's an absolute certainty for the job. He's still the most powerful person at NUFC. He's a political animal too. Makes Stalin look like a muddlehead. Not sure the job is right for him mind you.

Can't see him being sacked for losing to Chelsea. Home to Man City may do though...

Bizarrely, three managers have been sacked already this season after losing to Chelsea, so stranger things have have happened. I'd piss myself if they appointed Shearer, talk about an accident waiting to happen.

Think if that happens we should hire Justin Whittle to stand in the technical area and stare at Shearer all match. You can still see the scar on his lip where Justin 'accidentally' caught him with his elbow....ha ha Cheers Adie

I was listening to Radio 5 last night and apparently and according to their "pundits" which included that cockney twat Claridge and a Canadian homosexual, who used to be on talk sport, we are going to "kick" these premier Gods off the pitch. To which the Canadian gay boy said I only hope Newcastle kick them back to the Championship.
Are the media writing their reports already?

The meejah have never liked us and to be honest, the feeling's mutual. F*** 'em is what I say. Lommack - this "Canadian Gay Boy" - it's not Gabriel Marcoti is it? I always thought he was Yank/Italian hybrid. He suddenly started appearing on Radio 5 when Capello was confirmed as England manager. I thought it was a case of "Ooh - we're going to need exclusive Italian insight now- quick! - poach Marcoti from those Van Men at Talk Sport!". I can't wait for the footie-watching public to get a full-on dose of "Delilah" next Sunday!

Thats the bugger nick, thought i heard he was Canadian but am probably wrong.
He doesn't seem to know/care of any type of football outside the premier league and he did sound as camp as Christmas

The signs are there for big Sam's exit and a draw or loss at Stoke in the FA would be the final nail in the coffin for him as Newcastle's manager.

Wonder what the odds are of Pulis leading out Newcastle against us on Sunday?

They might want to sack Sam now to trigger off change before Sundays cup game.

According to George Caulkin of The Times "It has been suggested that defeat by Stoke City in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday would herald Allardyce’s dismissal"
Wish I'd put a few quid on this when I suggested it!!!!

He can't do English either KE., so he has precisely no chance with Geordie.

Hi RSB, stands a good chance of getting the job given recent proclivity to look towards a foreign solution! He's not in contract, available and the Geordie shirts resemble those at Juventus, where he was for a while! Ok, yes I'm clutching at straws but worth a punt.
