It may hvae been a mistake to take Whelen off but he needed to keep Delap on for his long throw - in my opinon. Also we were 3 down at that time so he was saving him for Villa

probably a little narked at him putting the 2 full backs on their worst sides , Griffin is a better left back than he is right back, and wilko is a better right back than he is left back. Its a completley inexcusable and baffling decision to play Grif @ RB and Wilko @ LB .

Fair enough. But if that's their opinion then that's their opinion however daft. The mentality of some is fucking pathetic.

The Pulis haters, hes the man who got us there, it will be the same down the brit, if anyone says anything about him, and there is some nuts by them at the time, i expect there to be trouble.

It won't surprise me either! But TP shouldn't be untouchable. Like yesterday he made a fuck up re Wilko and Griff. We move on and hope he doesn't make the same mistake. That's football. There's no hating just a good honest summary.

Every manager makes mistakes, and i thought he played wilko, as he thought dicko would be sent off, and thats the last thing we wanted, wilko is a cool head, dicko is fucking mental.

What a load of bollocks! Wilkinson is a right back, Griff a left back and TP plays them on the opposite flank-great. And Dicko isn't as temperamental as most make out, yes he's a tough tackler but how many times has he actually been sent off?

Your opinion though, like yours is a load of bollocks saying play dicko on the left and play demar. Opinions based on fact and conjecture are different though. How many times has Dicko been sent off? How many times have You seen Phillips play? And I admit that both ideas are far flung and essentially bollocks but not as bollocks as Cresswell. Dickinson is a mentalist but I don't buy this he'll get sent off every shite. He is a good tackler and that will prevail. His distribution is shocking and overall he probably isn't good enough but to say he'll get sent off every week is pathetic. Oh and the Dicko/Phillips thing is a pure desperation one for a bit more creatvity on the left as I think Cresswell is pants on the left.

Yes seen demar play in plenty of reserves. I also said he wont get sent off every game, and we have a winger on the way, from abroad, and a fullback from soton.

He is a right back that is predominatly a centre back but sounds like a promising player that I hope TP plays at centre back and gets two more full backs in. Left wing is a real problem area for me I like left wingers on the left wing-I'd play Phillips over Cresswell to see what he could do-he has pace and will do a shift. We wouldn't miss Cressy for one game and he'd be a better striking sub than Pericard.

Got wait and see who this guy is from abroad, i know hes a winger, who he is i dont know. And Davies looks a great buy.

I hope he's pacy and a proper winger. We lack pace-we have no genuine pacy players in our team. And I hope he's left footed. May sound strange but my God I'd cream myself if we signed a pacy left footed left winger!

Im going to echo what some have said just becus the bloke got us up doesnt mean we cant show we rnt happy. Ijust couldnt believe wat he did yesterday with the two full backs, but the thing thats really pissing me off is that it stands out a mile what we need and the man as had 3 months sort it out and he as not done it.

Because he puts square pegs in round holes and doesn't learn from his mistakes? His transfer policies are frustrating to quiet a few people? We are kept in the dark and fed on bullshit and he is the one who bears the SCFC fans frustrations of the heirachy?

ive got to question whether its actually true that griff is better at left back. yes hes been great for us at left back in the past, but thats when he was a youger(and better) player, he played his best football(at a much higher level at newcastle) at right back and he is afterall right footed - so its seems pretty unlikely that he favours the left side. it could be that tp is reluctant to play griff on the same side as cresswell - given his lack of pace and the limitations of cressy. wilko is clearly at the moment a fitter, quicker and more reliable full back - so if one has to play on the left it makes sense that its wilko rather than griff.
i dont know what tp thinking was - but that seems pretty logical to me - afterall none of us has spoken to griff abut which side he prefers or seen them both regularly in training. tp has, so i trust his judgement.
also not convinced that tp LIKES square pegs, round holes. cresswell was there last season because we didnt have a left winger! philips is no where near good enough - and without a clear left wing target(dont know if thats because to struggles to find someone who fits his criteria, or lack of cash last term??) then cresswell did a decent job.
having said all that the conclusions got to be the same - new left winger and new full back needed! but we all knew that anyway.
agree that tp(or any manager) shouldnt be untouchable - but one game into the season, with an unfinished, not entirely fit first 11 playing away at a club with 8 years up, based mainly on a very good home record..... just seems a little premature and unnecessary to me - we need to give the whole club time to adjust and strenghten(yes yes i know theyve had plenty of time already!) - but if people are shouting from the stands 65 minutes into our premiership journey - what can we expect in 2 or 3 months?

Perhaps coz the fans werent happy at us playing so poorly, having two full backs in their wrong positions and perhaps the fact that we were 3-0 down.
Im fully behind TP and all that, but can you really say that all fans were happy at being pretty much out of the match at half time???

I had a dig at Pulis because he played our two full backs the wrong way round and took one of the better performers off in Whelan. I'm pro pulis but he got these 2/3 things wrong so i gave my opinion, i didn't boo and have now forgotten about it, until the next time

We didn't play Wilkinson on the left and Griffin on the right (bear with me here). We played Wilkinson on Davies and Griffin wherever the space was. It was Wilkinson because he's got the best combination of versatility and hard bugger in our squad and we thought he could bash up Davies in either full back position. Knock out Davies, knock out Bolton.
