Following on from pere ubu and experimental/punk bands one of my all time favs are The Residents.I must say that these vids and many many more from the band are only for the stablist of minds .They have been going now for 28 years and thier world is pretty weird to say the least www.residents.com/

I remember listening to Pere Ubu a bit Jukebox, a few years back, after listening to John Peel playing them...quite "interesting" As for The Residents..that first vid reminded me of early Genesis, when Peter Gabriel was on vocals..and they wore animals heads on stage (costume not real!!) Fine line between Genius and Garbage.. Anyone ever see Jim Thirwell A.K.A Scraping Foetus Off The Wheel? He used real pigs heads on stage Absolutely brilliant music...very dodgy stageshow!

Had the pleasure of seeing Ubu twice, Wizzard. First time supporting the Gang of Four many years ago - 2 excellent bands. Secondly, about 3 years ago, playing a live soundtrack to "They came from Outer Space" (with 3D glasses supplied) at Warwick Uni. Different!
Perhaps a new thread is needed - best wierd songs ever?

"Has anyone mentioned The Skids - Into the Valley?"
I was thinking about The Skids, but Scared To Dance from the same album.
A superb group who made some incredible songs.
