Crikey
Think I would go all out and probably die from eating
Starter: Triple Cheeseburger, no salad, Fries
Main: 5 Piece Value Box (SF Chicken, Doner Meat, Chips), with a Naan, and some mango chutney
Afters: dont usually have pudding but I would like either a bucket of Angel Delight, or a nice Apple Crumble. Keep the custard, awful stuff.
Drink: usual crate of Carling please.
Tbh, its a bit like a standard Saturday night.

I think you all would have to rethink your meal choices as there's a max limit of about $15 for the lucky recipients. Spoilsport

I can never get past egg on toast. Two fried eggs, over easy, seasoned with salt, pepper and chili flakes, with a generous dollop of HP sauce on the side. Possibly a bit of coarse grated parmesan to garnish.
A delicious, simple meal I prepare myself at least twice a week anyway. One last chance to have it, it seems fitting somehow. I wouldn't want anything fancy.

Not saying I donāt eat them but I never think āI really enjoyed thatā and I have them exactly the same as you do. Itās like having just something, anything to deter hunger

Partly for the exact reasons you describe. They're so basic yet integral to everything.. they're almost not food, they are life itself. With all its routine mundanity, hard slog and occasional moments of pure joy. Some might find that depressing, I find it affirming.

Slight diversion, if you could eat the meal with one person, ( known or unknown, famous or not) , who would it be? Badger perhaps, definitely not the most intelligent man in Stoke-on-Trent , Felonious, nor Frasier!!!

He would either have to have half or watch me eat the lot. Either way it would make his last moments hell.

Think Iād go with Ciabatta with rocket, fresh tomato, Parmesan and balsamic Ribeye steak with Roquefort sauce, home cooked chips, garlic mushrooms, petit pois, grilled tomato, and a side of cheesy garlic bread. CrĆØme Caramel or Lemon Sorbet for a light finish I donāt drink alcohol with food, any food (a weird quirk since I love beer) so Iād probably go for a pint of raspberry slush puppyš That's a decent main.. probably go for the same but with roquefort sauce. Starter would be croquettes de crevette and desert would be either banoffi pie or apple crumble and custard.

I do like a little sauce with my steak (separate in a little jug, my badger head one would be perfect. The spout is its mouth so it looks like heās throwing up all over my food, lovely touch). I do like an octopus croquette actually but feel it may be a tad heavy before a steak. The puddings are way to heavy for me. I just want a small portion of sweetness

Appetiser - Poppadoms with a trio of dips (mango & chutney, onion chutney, cucumber and mint)
Starter - pepperoni, tomato & cheese dough balls with a garlic mayo dip.
Main - half garlic cube sautƩed potatoes & half egg fried rice, salt and chilli chicken with a jus of curry sauce.
Sides - Onion rings & duck spring rolls
Dessert - A trio of desserts (jam rolly poly with custard, sticky toffee pudding with pooh bear ice cream, strawberry pavlova with fresh cream)
Drink - Pint of the black stuff
Palate Cleanser - Blackcurrant cordial
If its my final meal then I've got to go in hard and cover as much as possible. Wouldn't usually go for dough balls as a starter but as a pizza lover I had to get some semblance to it in there.
