What then to create a goal threat. Campbell or Ennis? Simple answer, no idea. There is little creativity in this entire setup. The few that are creative, were all subbed off in this game when we were chasing it. Why? No reason (unless injured) that Burger, Manhoef or Bae get subbed off tonight. Then add to that Baker coming on at 3-0 down..... Up there with the most baffling decisions and subs I have ever seen at this club. Both Burger and Bae were poor tonight and both were peripheral, Manhoef perhaps due to the yellow but it shows how few options we have if Burger and Bae are under par. Collectively we didn't show up tonight we were awful to a man apart from Manhoef, strolling, lazy arsed and pathetic approach to a vital game from the team collectively, including the subs.

Manager making a lot of tactical errors at the wrong time…… Thompson at DM should have been nailed on Away from home with burger along side ……. Maybe baker in front of them, Josh Laurent …a Fanny who won’t tackle …. Wrong side ….. hope he gets it right Saturday 🤞 Not the managers fault, the players clearly are not capable of back to back performances. The last 3 times we have lost we have won the next game, lets hope that bodes better for Saturday.

We never ever look like scoring with Ennis on the pitch.
He needs to find a way of making the ball stick up front by Saturday.

I’ve ever seen from a Stoke side Am sorry going to appear a bit deragatory , nah million miles away. Shame we didn’t compete in the competing compete stakes but worse , nah there’s games where players have clearly lost what to do or cope with the opposition than what was witnessed tonight. Keep going and you will see it over a reasonable period if f time. Just don’t become a who ever fan that is best at time. They are four letter words , well minus the collective need to us ‘s’.

Even if Bae was poor (like everyone else then basically?) it still doesn't justify pulling him off at HT, unless of course he was carrying an injury. And again, as the whole team was poor, I don't get why Burger is the one you pull off. Laurent was absolute dross from minute 1 and he should be nowhere fucking near the captains armband... And then to cap it all off, even if you really do think Burger should be subbed, when chasing a game, you think Cundle is the man for the job and not Baker.... It was an absolute car crash in terms of pretty much every single decision made, from lineup, to the final whistle.

I’ve ever seen from a Stoke side Sorry but if you think that then you were not there the night Birmingham put 7 past us or when Blythe Spartans beat us at home 3-2 so don't be ridiculous! People always pedal this racket as if every fan is of that age and was present.

If we are talking this season then yes it's certainly up there but if we are talking ever then complete bollocks, I've seen hundreds of performances worse than that unfortunately.

In all fairness the OP didn't state whether it was this seasons worst performance or the worst they had seen in their time as a Stoke fan did they mate.

It could well be that you share the night stoke lost 3:0 to Swansea in 2024 that ended up being the pivotal moment that saw us go down. Am I misinterpreting your use of the word pedal n maybe racket?

An absolute car crash of a performance from the players and the manager.
The one saving grace is that it's typical of Stoke, and a lot of teams in this league, to be brilliant one game, then awful the next.
We need one more win I think (49 points might just be enough if it's either Wednesday or Plymouth we beat) and surely we're capable of turning up once out of four games?

I know what you mean mate, but it stands to reason that older fans who were about in the 80’s and 90’s will absolutely have seen performances worse than that. Plenty of them.

A bloke in the pub said that to me tonight - my response - ‘could have been worse mate, I could have watched it at home with a cup of tea’. You’ve watched the team you love play wank. You’ll see it many more times in the years to come. These lows make the high’s higher.

If we get the goal it changes the game, the penalty changed the game, there were moments where we could have gained some momentum but we were playing Swansea and the ref. I really hope someone says something about referee decisions going against us because it becoming a joke now. It's about time someone had the balls to come out and challenge their bias against us. We are a soft touch on and off the pitch. 1-1 it's a different game, even 1 down it's a different game, we were bad but we still got shafted It would never have been a different game, just a different score!!! We were always going to lose the game, mentally we weren't set up for it, that's Schumacher's job!!! Even if our goal was allowed to stand (which it should have been), we just didn't look interested tonight.... It was just a game of us going through the motions!!! We had no tactical idea how to break them down, it was just hit and hope!!!

Thompson and Leris should have started, Bae and vidigal too lightweight for tough away game in poor conditions. Awful team selection, bad performance. They won everything in midfield first half, we never competed. Needed Thompson to help out Burger.
Blame poor team selection, should have shut up shop, point would have been adequate last night.

I'm not calling anybody's head just yet but what we saw yesterday was totally unacceptable from start to finish.
A lot can be fixed on Saturday though but the attitude must be totally different. No more off games, please.

For the life of me I couldn’t fathom out what SS was trying to implement on the pitch, it was beyond naive from him given our predicament.
For the past 6 years and yes JC this is aimed at you the club has been ran appallingly from the very top to the very bottom, if we take this season’s transfers as an example we didn’t have a squad until a few weeks before the start of the season and crazily ignored the facts that we needed at least 2 CH’s 1LB and a goal scorer oh and a GK, so in our wisdom we got a shit load of midfielders.
January another midfielder and a bloke who supposedly is a forward from Blackburn.
Honestly we deserve to be relegated

If you thought that it was bad you should have been around in our relegation season in the 80's
Lost 31 and won only 3
Dire in most games

Last 8 away games under Lou we scored once, an OG at Southend. Was horrendous stuff.
Think we conceded at Norwich after 9 odd seconds.
