Starting with two forwards will help…but we know it won’t happen. Why are you so eager to only play two forwards. Players do not stand still in the shape of a team sheet. Stoke have been getting lots of bodies in offensive positions and I hope SS will continue to promote this style of play.

Yep enjoyable game think it was last season, Powell lobbed their outcoming keeper and the atmosphere was very good. 2021: they were top, we went 3rd. Alfie Doughty was a late sub ( most Stokies thought he was shite) . Souttar was injured playing for Australia a few weeks later, and our season fizzled away without him. We played 3-4-2-1 with Smith and Tymon at WB, Allen and JT in midfield, and Powell and Vrancic behind Jacob Brown. We looked like a promotion side. That was the only side we’ve had since relegation that has looked like it could get out of this division in the right direction. was the only point it ever seemed we were getting our shit together.

This is going to be tough though sometimes they’re the games that bring the best out of us. We always seem a win away from safety. We need to be better at set pieces as they’re a big side.
Iverson
Hoever Rose McNally Stevens
Burger Laurent Baker
Manhoef Mmaee Bae

We sometimes beat West Brom…. I thought the saying was we always sometimes beat West Brom? That must have originated during the twenty five year period between 1989 and 2014 when we played West Brom 36 times, winning 23 times, drawing 10 times and only losing 3 matches. There was one run of 17 games with no defeats. (12 wins)

They are 5th in the form table and we are 9th.
They have 3 wins and 3 draws from that period.
A draw would be a satisfactory result for both clubs.

I'd take that right now, unambitious as it may seem. Then we'd be back on the road for two games that we can seriously expect to acquire 4 points from. We'd be at 50 then, bosh. Would be nice to let Bae go to the S Korea games wouldn't it? Although I hope they don't qualify for Olympics - the lad needs a week or two off over summer.

That's Frank Skinner in my world, no one can spin out a yarn quite like the great man! Frank Skinner is brilliant live....... Have you tired the new Radio 4 panel show One Person Found This Helpful? Frank is the host and it's proper funny, and warm natured, with a simple central premise of a quiz based around guessing what is being described in online reviews.

We used to beat West Brom We used to always beat West Brom... Once upon a time in the not so distant past we used to, when faced with West Brom as the opposition, achieve a favourable result which garnered three points for our team.

Forecasting a full gale blowing straight through the two open corners and swirling around the ground. Could be a major factor ?

Forecasting a full gale blowing straight through the two open corners and swirling around the ground. Could be a major factor ? wasn’t it a game against wba that called off because of high winds ? I recall a very windy mid week game in the PL. I did not bother going as I thought "They will never play in this, it will be postponed" Much tomy suprise they did play and I missed the match. The descission I would imagine is down to the officials.

Yeah about 2005 i think only game to ever be called off there if memory serves, their promotion season we battered them 4-1 i think at end of season after they had been promoted to prem.
