I like him and Million, with Burger and Bae we have four players. Just need to revamp this god awful defence in the summer if we survive

Can not fault his effort at all and makes a real difference to the tempo of front line. Ability wise without sounding too critical and harsh I'm really not sure. His first touch isn't great and seems clumsy. Yeah i must say I'm quite surprised by this thread. There were so many fantastic performances today but I thought Ennis was bloody useless. His touch and composure was dire. Couldn't trap a fart. That said, as highlighted, he worked hard and pressed. Needs to do more for me ability wise to justify a place next season. I've said before but he comes across ability wise as top end league one player. His effort and what he adds to team with it seems to outweigh that for what we need right now.

We played on THEIR side of the pitch a LOT today and played harder. There were worrying counterattacks, but damn, was able to come out from behind the back of the couch about halfway through 2nd half!!
Kept the momentum going and our front line was a rolling heart-attack for M'Boro. Next step is to add a couple more goals. We shouldn't play any other way against anybody in this league.
The refereeing is always strange, but today those guys were on the 3 blind mice level. Going to enjoy this one and quit reading the Oatcake for a day or two here - they're already on other threads whenging about the manager, all the usual tripe.

Totally agree mate and his stats would back that up. Scored 1 in 4.5ish in league one and has scored 1 in 17 in the championship. At 24, coming up 25 I'd expect more if he was going to make the cut but if we keep winning with him in the side like we did today then happy to give him a bit more time.

He'll do a job for us this season as a starter and next season as a backup. If we have pretentions of pushing up the league you need better than him. I've been surprised by his lack of footballing ability given the levels he's played at as a youngster.
It just shows you what 500k gets you at this level these days.

I'm surprised the ref booked him for time wasting as I thought it was his 2nd touch

Personally thought he was the weak link in attack. Thought Junho was sublime & there were very promising moments from Million.
Ennis ran around a lot but with very little quality.
Great win though.

Their gk even took off his gloves then had to put them back on before he took a free kick. Another player had to retie his laces. I don't think referees understand that wasting time isn't just a case of reducing the time the ball is in play, but often a tactic used when a team are under the cosh and just as much about slowing down the game. It was obviously a deliberate ploy by Leeds to disrupt our impetus and flow and the ref allowed them to do it.

Nah, not having that mate. He led the line well, not much quality but harried, pressed and di well in the main. I would never have walked away today and thought he was the weak link ..

Goes to show that a grafter is far more use to us than someone with 'talent' but no inclination to use it. Played really well. Steal at 500k. Campbell did more than I’ve ever seen him do for us today when he replaced Ennis in terms of closing down. If he could do it on a regular basis he’d be one hell of a player.

So, yeah, you're probably right! Unfortunately he just doesn't have the hunger in him. I'd rather another fanbase get frustrated with him next season.

But for all his ability, and yes he did look more up for it, we were still more effective with Ennis on the field. When Campbell came on I thought it was an ideal opportunity for him to impose himself on a defence who had been broken and were making mistakes. But no he managed to run faster without threatening anyone. A small improvement I suppose but he'll have to show a lot more to replace Ennis.

There’s no goals in the lad at all. He’s a willing runner and no one can fault his effort, but he’s lacking in quality.

Disagree on the quality. He seems a bit rusty still, but there's glimpses there.
I think we'll see that significantly improved if we keep him fit.

Lacks a bit of quality but has more impact on pressing and occupying the back 4 than any other striker we have so he must start. Also manages to get a shot off from a half chance which is strange thing to witness from a Stoke City striker

Lacks a goal threat for me be a great foil for a flair player be good to see him and Campbell together Possibly would prefer a striker who is happy going straight down the middle but that would mean two up front which is of course no longer allowed along with wingers on their correct side, man marking at corners and leaving men up front when defending corners

I don't know

If he can come up with 8/10 goals,we may have another Jacob Brown, but with a bit more skill.

Lacks a goal threat for me be a great foil for a flair player be good to see him and Campbell together Would be better off the bench when there is a pace, his touch is poor in the right situations normally found in the first hour. Maaee to start and Ennis and Campbell off the bench would be the best option

If he can come up with 8/10 goals,we may have another Jacob Brown, but with a bit more skill. He makes far more intelligent runs than Brown and his movement working the centre halves is much better. The only thing the same is that he will chase all game but he doesn't chase lost causes like Brown used to. Brown was better on the ball, agree

A player with actual pace is always welcome. If we can find out a way of getting the ball into space for him then he’ll only improve. Not sure I’d say he doesn’t look like scoring either, looked quite sharp and inventive in front of goal yesterday
