Monkey Never fully grasped Monkey, mind you it was up against David Carradine and Kung Fu, even then you had to wait until almost the ending for him to hit some poor sod once.

The school argument was Is Tripitaka male or female? Died quite young seem to remember. Was only when Pigsy was spying on her taking a bath I knew for sure

The Banana Splits show was a bit weird looking back but it was essential Saturday morning viewing for me as a kid. Strange mix of music, cartoons and studio stuff presented by 4 blokes dressed as bananas. ādressed as bananasā

One of those programmes that had cult status, famous for it's quotes The wicked go to hells, the good go to heavens and the pure neither live nor even die... but those hit on the head tend to fall unconscious. What's it all for? What's the point of it all? And if it hasn't got a point, what's the point of that? When what is indestructible meets what is irresistable, the female all too often wins.

Tripitaka was a Japanese model, died very young of cancer Can't remember if it was Pigsy or Sandy who was quite a well known singer in Japan

Anybody remember Under the Moon with Danny Kelly? Late night sports show in the late 90s which was a bit of a surreal bit of telly although I was always pissed when I put it on after coming home from a night out. Never forgot Lisa Rogers though who was a corking posh lass.

James Whale etc , just about everything on C4 at the time.

Never forgot Lisa Rogers though who was a corking posh lass. Under The Moon was fucking brilliant. I was still at school when it was on but insisted on staying awake to watch it all (it finished at 2am) even though that meant I'd be falling asleep in double maths the following day. Tom Binns* was the sidekick/reporter fella and was an absolute pisser. Think he got fired for being a bit too rude to guests/callers and was replaced by Lisa Rodgers. [Obscure 90s Late Night TV Trivia] The final ever episode of UTM featured as guests our very own Pottermus as well as Half Man Half Biscuit [Obscure 90s Late Night TV Trivia Ends] *Later going on to enjoy success with his Ivan Brackenbury hospital radio DJ character

Twin Peaks
Weird, offbeat, stylish It had surrealism, the coolest man on the planet David Lynch, Sherilyn Fenn as the drop dead gorgeous Audrey Horne, and the music
I watched Twin Peaks The Return in 2017, and at 73, Lynch was still introducing me to new modern contemporary cool music - The Chromatics, Au Revoir Simone
Honourable mention for obligatory 1970s weird kids TV program (werent they all?)- 'The Singing and Ringing Tree'. From memory, dubbed polish, lurid technocolour bad dream
