Baker gives the ball away far far to cheaply for me. Sometimes gives it away trying to pass the ball forwards making something happen which I can live with, a bit of rust still maybe as well...... Mmmm, hopefully some of those passes were very very poor, 5-10 yards straight to the opposition, but yes he does other things well and I’d have him over Laurent all day every day

After a shaky start McNally got better as the game went on. I like Rose, it would be him plus another as far as I'm concerned....... They both did some good work tonight. We still look disoriented and disorganised at the back, too many crosses not being closed down and the width being exploited too easily. We need to settle on a shape and first choice starters in defence. It doesn’t help that we keep changing it. Rose and McNally is the best pairing we have in a two.

After 4 straight losses, I’d be very hesitant to change a winning formula. I do think that Wesley did put some work in tonight though and that overall, we’d look better with Ennis running off him than Cundle “pulling strings” behind. I just think we need a front two. I’m not for chopping and changing as a rule after a win, but we don’t do enough up top. Not saying that’s Wesley but a target man would help massively. Yeah, I wouldn’t be upset if we did change Cundle out. I’d be surprised if we did, but not upset. I’d consider playing Ennis there, keeping the formation the same though and having Million up top. His pace should scare people. Changing formation would be a step too far to me.

I am both shocked and surprised that we kept a clean sheet upon dropping Wilmot. What a fucking win. Think you’ve been right all along about Wilmot. McNally and Rose aren’t Italian defenders but they are a better more competent pair that anything with Wilmot in it McNally was beyond awful in the first half, he kept getting way too tight to their striker and being turned. Rose’s inability to cover when the it one forward is astounding. Better second half because we dropped so deep and they were dealing with crosses. Neither can play in a two in a high line. Despite his errors, Wilmott has to play in a 4. We will do better if we play with full backs

No love for McNally and Rose? I thought they were pretty good except for the first 15-20, but everyone was shaky then After a shaky start McNally got better as the game went on. I like Rose, it would be him plus another as far as I'm concerned....... I agree. Rose is currently the best of the lot but I still want completely different starting CB’s next season.

Fair play to the back line tonight, not 100% but definitely an improvement, McNally got better as the game went on

When Rose and Mcnally were playing we went 5 unbeaten, go back to them and we get a win. Dont change it.

Results are all that matters now , win tick , clean sheet tick , more solid with 2 + 2 in midfield tick . Cant help feeling juno and Cundle as two eights is way too lightweight and it would be cundle for Laurent for me . it’s a huge result but still very concerned that we need that poor an opposition to win we’ve some very difficult sides coming up but we now need a point a game or to best Wednesday Plymouth and Huddersfield might be enough going to go to the wire at best remains my view

It's come to something when you can be completely ambivalent about a Stoke win. Funny - I am doing a jig all the way home 😀 Don't get me wrong, I'm obviously pleased it just doesn't quite inspire euphoria yet 🙂

Let’s be honest, it was dross. The second half in particular was awful against an extremely poor side. I’m hoping it was a needs must performance just to steady the ship because if the manager uses that as a template moving forward we will still be in trouble.

Clean sheet and win against a relegation rival. Forget the performance, think of the points.
StS has a massive job on his hands to turn this mess around.

I think last night the side showed they might actually have some bollocks for the fight - small hamster gonads at the moment but from small acorns....?
Still scares me how weak as piss we are particularly at the back. Need to chose two and get on with it because communication and understanding was all over the shop particularly at the start.

I'd hope the prospect of playing against their old team may elevate the performance of Rose and McNally.
On Chair, I thought he was good, and better than a bottom 3 player.

Has to be said, I never thought I would! Rose and McNally back and we don't concede ! We've got to tighten defences to get out of this, hope we many pinch an odd goal, it's obvious goals aren't our forte..
