There’s not really much incentive to renew.
They don’t come to see me when I’m bad do they? 😊

I must admit it’s getting harder & harder to want to go, I don’t look forward to a match day no more.
The midweek games are becoming an even bigger struggle with being tired after work & rushing around trying to get down there in time.
Away games are always a good day out but Sunderland for example, I went for the weekend… spent a fortune & again came away majorly disappointed.
I’ll probably still be there next season because it’s an addiction.

Didn’t they change the dates last year so it was when the season finished? Can’t see that going too well if it’s for League One…

Renew. Stoke might ruin my weekends, but being at home would ruin them more.

They were available for purchase in Feb I think and season ticket holders had a date by which to retain their seats but the Early Bird price was available till at least the end of the season at which time they went off sale for a short while.

I'm here for a long time, not a good time.
It just makes the good times sweeter.

I have been a season ticket holder for twenty years now (alongside my Old Man who has been going for even longer than that).
However, the last couple of seasons have really started to suck the enjoyment out of going to games.
It is partly the results (which have been awful) and partly the performances (which have often been even more awful).
For me, it is more the fact that we just appear to be in terminal decline. In seven years we have gone from being an established Premier League club to one that is being sucked towards League One.
I have no idea how we turn this around. It is like death by a thousand cuts! 😅
Me and my Old Man will buy season tickets again next season, but more through routine and sentimentality than any hope of success.

Been a Stoke fan for over 50 years and will still go when I can, but going to be hard to drive 100 miles to watch them play in tier 3 - not going to lie.
I wish we would go bankrupt and fold or something, put us all out of our misery, I think I would actually feel relieved - like when an old suffering relative finally dies and is in peace.
With the current owners set to be here forever as they pass down the family jewels from generation to generation - there will never be anything to get excited about for the foreseeable

I'd rather read my own mother's obituary in 'World Class Slag Magazine' than subject myself to yet another season of abject bum-sluice 'football'.
I applaud those who do choose to renew but also suggest that they seek psychological help.

It is becoming difficult to find the motivation to go the match, and has been for some time. I am currently undecided but considering not renewing. If relegated probably not. 😨

5 ST holders in my group. My Dad is not renewing. He's too old to put up with the depression and just doesn't enjoy it.
Myself and the 3 kids are equally as depressed and as part of going is to be with family my Dad's decision is a factor.
My older kids are used to the misery but my younger one is failing to understand how "our team" doesn't score any goals....ever! He's often asking me why our team is so bad and I'm struggling to answer.
At the moment my position is that we won't renew. We need a break. I would hope its temporary, maybe even just half a season. I fear if I keep taking the younger son to this shit that he will never want to come back.
My hope would be to take a break, recharge our batteries and hopefully something positive might happen on the field and I can come back to enjoying taking my sons to the stadium again in the future.
Edit: I've had a season ticket in 27 of the last 32 years and the last 17 years consecutively. My kids have joined me since they were 4/5.

i have 4 season tickets, 4 generations beginning in 1947 for my now 87 year old father, for me this is my 51st season and on our way home we discussed why we bother, its hard work being a Stoke fan at the minute and we concluded that we are at the stage now where we are only going because its the only time we get to spend together as father and son, but we are both close to the end I'm afraid, we almost didn't last season and then AN tricked us with 3 great performances which coincided with the start of the season ticket sales. i need a better reason to shell out almost a grand on the product on offer

Been a season ticket holder since 96/97 but packing it in after this season. It's just not fun anymore and hasn't been for a long time. Terrible performance after terrible performance, dull football with no goals, the away end celebrating all the time while we trudge out dejected. It's just not worth it at the moment, there are a lot more enjoyable things I can be doing on a Saturday these days. I'll still go to games but I'll pick and choose and the team have to earn my support and not just take it for granted. Same here…I’ve been going for over 50 years but these last few seasons have been a struggle. I’ve just swapped jobs so night games will be a no go as I will be miles away most times. The enjoyment has gone and I sit at games now not expecting anything good to happen…that must be a sign that it’s time to call it a day ?

Lot of folk on here wavering about renewing and some saying they are definitely not. Then you’ve got the die hard fans that will renew come what may. I was the same in the past. But if you don’t renew it does not make you any less a Stoke fan. Circumstances change and to be fair at this point the product has been sud standard to say the least. Not quite storming the boardroom but voting with your feet

I’m absolutely definitely in regardless of which division but I’d blame no one for calling it a day and know a few who have feeling there is no identity to attach to .

Me and my dad (and 4/5 others we know) had season tickets since 02. Didn't renew 2 seasons ago and haven't since. Gone to a handful of home games since (with 5-6 away games per season). It's been a tough 7/8 years, its a 4 hour round trip for us so until things improve (on and off the pitch) we cant justify it.. It's mainly the performance than the results, I'll support them in any league, I would like to see some effort though. Saturday is a big game, got tickets for this one.

If I'd only had a few season tickets on the bounce I'd be tempted to not renew. It is literally that shit.
But I've had one for so long now I refuse to let this current lot turf me out.
Fuck em, tie me to the mast.

Undecided . It's not enjoyable watching away fans celebrating at every home game..Going down will affect sales alot ...Staying up hopefully (it's in my name ) .Its dependent on results not necessarily performances from now on..
