Dark day yesterday, just about everything that could have gone wrong did. Worrying interview from Schumacher last weekend. Followed by terrible PR around most of the squad being up for sale. Then the news about Mmaee being out of the squad for the foreseeable, likely ever. Alongside an absolute dog's dinner of a squad sheet, square pegs in round holes. Resulting in a predictable shitshow of a display both in quality and effort. The complete opposite of what we saw against Brighton just several weeks ago. This runs far deeper than simply a 5-0 humbling to the league leaders in isolation. The club is rotten to the core and the manager is out of his depth. Yep, I'd be surprised if we stay up now to be honest and can't believe the odds being offered.

So what's your answer as to new owners. Who are they? Where are they from? Where's the money from? Not my job. Change at the top is needed. The Coates family might as well be broke and hate the club. Spot on. The free-pass John Coates has had these last few years has been nothing short of spectacular.

It only takes one poor season in Div 1 to become a Div 2 club.
With the way this club has been run since JC took charge, you wouldn't bet on this not happening.

Some interesting posts going around on Twitter about Martin and how much of a power-hungry wanker he might be...

They've had 6 or 7 years in the championship to just put a competent mid table side together and despite tens of millions spent we've actually managed to get progressively worse.
Its an absolutely shit state of affairs when you sit down and take a couple of minutes to try and comprehend it all.
The next couple of weeks are vital in terms of us steering ourselves away from a relegation scrap. Lose the next 2 or 3 and we're as good as down. We'll enter the free fall phase. And only miracles get you out of that scenario. And stoke don't do miracles.

What happend was,Peter handed the reigns over to his idiot son. There is a saying that ‘a fish rots from the head down’ So true in this case, until such time as we get rid of the clueless, idiotic moron that is JC, we will never resolve the issues that we’ve endured since relegation and they are, his total inability to appoint the people with the necessary skills/ know how/ experience to run a football club in a professional manner, who in turn then appoint a manager who is totally out of his depth and who then buys/loans players who are again totally unsuited to what is required in terms of skill, commitment and aptitude. So once again, until the common denominator in our never ending demise is removed, we will undoubtably continue in our never ending downward spiral.

I've tried to remain balanced in my rantings for the last few years. But I now recognise this for what it is. A badly run club with outdated ideas. A squad of players who aren't engaged in the Stoke project who therefore drop to 75% effort when the going gets tough. Failure to sign a proper captain/leader. Doesn't even need to be a great baller but someone who drags these players through the brick walls he is prepared to keep smashing down. Seems the squad is half full of delusional wannabee players who treat us as some sort of inconvenient stepping stone to eventually popping up at a premier league club. All overseen by incompetent senior management whose plan seems to be keep your fingers crossed and we'll find the next Tony Pulis who'll make it all better. Cant see any light at the end of the tunnel. I feel sorry for Schumacher but the reality is all the pressure is now on him. He alone has to somehow get some form of tune out of the rabble he's been handed. I wish him the very best of luck and I'll join JC in keeping my fingers toes and arms crossed 🤞

I think it's just a case of staying up this season and yet another reset in the summer. We say this every season.

I think it's just a case of staying up this season and yet another reset in the summer. We say this every season. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results.
