Meh is an understatement, and I feel the same way about Cundle too. More managers mates, are they going to improve us, time will tell, I’m not writing either off, but I shan’t hold my breath either. Big difference between sanctioning two young players at the start of their careers and letting a manager bring in someone like Daniel Johnson. I don’t see it like that, Cundle we will never see the best off, we will have a young player no better than what we have, give him a couple of months and some game time and then he’ll be gone. The other lad is a few weeks short of 25, not exactly young. As I said, I’m not writing either off, but it’s difficult to see how either make us better in the the now, which is what we need to avoid getting dragged in to a relegation battle. We don’t have time to wait for them to bed in.

Not at the moment, but he has been. Was on the bench for the FA cup game on Monday

Rightly or wrongly, the idea of Schumacher being a head coach focused on training the players above calling the shots on transfers seems to have been dropped pretty quickly. It never was. They have always stated that the manager is involved, can suggest players and has the last say. Would you prefer the situation at Forest where allegedly a new player turned up to training who Steve Cooper knew nothing about and nobody had bothered to inform him they'd signed. His job title is head coach but of the four signings this window, two are his ex-players. I’m not saying that’s bad or good because we obviously don’t know yet, just that’s it is more what you’d expect of a traditional manager.

There’s no way he’s 24 he’s been around for about a thousand years. Not thinking about Neil Danns? Or Josh Magennis? Nope definitely Niall Ennis, just feels like he’s been around for decades for some reason.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-transfer-deadline-day-live-9069646Niall Ennis expected to be permanent dealNiall Ennis is expected to join Stoke on a permanent deal. He is only a few months into a four-year contract at Blackburn. Stoke are at their maximum five loans allowed in a match day squad: Daniel Iversen, Ki-Jana Hoever, Luke McNally, Luke Cundle and Sead Haksabanovic. It had looked likely that any late business this window was going to be a loan too but the way these deals have fallen, or are falling, it's proven otherwise.

He’s 24?!
I thought he was 19/20.
Quite old in footballing terms for not many goals/appeareances.

I think he's a decent point for little or no transfer fee. We need to manage his appearances, but so long as no one expects him to start every week he can be one of the squad 24/25 replacments for Wes, Gayle and Ty. So basically, we’ve signed the striker equivalent of Tuanzebe. Marvellous.

Give him a chance. If he'd done ok at Bburn he wouldn't be here but looks like he can get us a few goals hopefully ...no other bugger can

I work at Blackburn Rovers so have seen him all this season.... Well I've actually barely seen him because he never gets a game. Overweight in pre-season, couldn't stay fit, injured every game, poor footballer in general and I don't think he's even bothered one bit. Not happy with this at all.

This must be a free transfer I hope! You'd think it'd be our old friend "undisclosed" But doubtful they'll give a 24yo under contract for 3.5 seasons away for nothing? There was a bit of competition for him as a free in the summer. Hopefully considerably less than a mill though, if we ever find out?

They're in massive debt and need all the cash they can get even with the Wharton deal bringing them in 20mill, I'd imagine most of it goes straight to the venkys to pocket.

It's underwhelming, but this is the market we're in now...waifs, strays and castoffs.
Schumacher knows him and must think he can get him firing again. Plus he probably doesn't want to watch Mmaee miss sitters every week for the rest of the season.

To be fair we're bringing him in for his Plymouth form not Blackburn. It may well be that SS has a good relationship with him and can rejuvinate him. Clearly there's talent there if he can be motivated. I guess all we can do is wait and see.

He played a full season 22/23 under shuey at Plymouth and scored 12 in 38 games, almost 1 in 3. Obviously shu thinks he could be productive in his set-up. I think the issue will be his fitness. Good luck to the lad!

We what he does for us is all that matters
You're not going to get an in favour striker scoring lots of goals in a Jan window on a restricted budget. In fact with a bit of decent cash to spend is hard enough
