Bamford has one of the best strike rates in all leagues 106 goals in 300 plus games Not his biggest fan but he can outscore anyone we've had in recent years, comfortably Keep him off pens though We couldn’t afford Bamford anyways. If his salary is to be believed, yes. Would be a great swap deal for me but obviously not something that's actually going on

Be interesting to see how his career pans out. Loads of talent but seems to return worse after every injury, and that golden period under MON starts to look more and more distant. Still think he’d be best sticking out here where he’s guaranteed minutes if he can stay injury free. Last thing he needs is a move to somewhere where he spends every week in the stands.

Looking forward to the day he leaves to be honest, along with the Macron shirts he’s marked a cursed time for the club. We need to move forward. Bit harsh to be fair. He looked a real player until that knee injury against Cardiff. 6 goals and 7 assists in 16 games. If stayed injury free and carried on in the same form you could have seen him end the season with 17 goals and 20 odd assists and us being in a very different league position. Instead he spent the best part of 15 months on the sidelines. Has never got going since then. Absolutely. You have sort of proved the point that he and we are cursed though 😂 We can speculate all day long about his application post-injury, we’ll never know. Evidence would suggest he hasn’t done enough to find that form again though.

Campbell said that MON worked hard with him and it showed. I think he'd only scored once until he arrived. He had this habit of standing still and waiting for the balls to arrive at his feet while defenders simply stepped accross him. His movement improved massively and he looked a different player and up until his serious injury was scoring goals. With Fletcher he started to look a player again but seems to have gone backwards. Neil didn't help of course and injuries. All this talk of massive money once and now a case of what we can get for him if anything.

Either we feel like he’s worth more than that in what he can offer between now and May, or there’s a slither of a chance of an extension. Good either way. Unless he has an amazing upturn in form and scores a hatfull of goals, it's certainly not good for the club.

His only consistent spell with the club was at the start of the season that Fletcher joined. Powell, Fletcher and Campbell worked well together as we had two in the middle that took turns holding the ball up and playing it in front of Campbell (or heading it on and having Brown or McClean chase). Campbell didn’t provide support to his fullback and stayed on that half way line, out-wide, often playing further forwards than Fletcher. Then Campbell got injured and Fletcher decided to tackle an advertising board 😂. That system worked for Campbell because it was fully built around him.

his old man, must be ashamed of him, NEGATIVES, can’t win or head a ball, no aggression, one footed, no ball control, bone idle, doesn’t score enough goals,Oh nearly forgot, can’t play as a centre forward, POSITIVES,quick, with ball at his feet, time to cash in, the way he’s playing at the minute, be lucky to get a million, been given far to many chances to shine, under numerous managers, and we still keep getting the same dross.fcuk him off. that's a nonsense statement. Why would Kevin be ashamed of him? He's still made it to be a professional footballer at a high level, very much in the 1%. He's scored goals at this level, he's not gonna hate his own son just because some stoke fans think he is the devil incarnate for not scoring 20 goals a season.

Maybe he might now realise what a soft ride he’s had at Stoke for too many years. Fingers crossed he wakes up to reality and give’s himself a kick up the arse.
Unless he misses

I still think there is an argument that he has been held back by the dross around him. Even with all the injury and form issues every manager we’ve had loves him and tries to find a way to fit him into whatever formation we are playing.

He had one really good patch but otherwise he’s been average. He’s been here a while, Lambert gave him his debut, and we’re no better off with him. That said, I like him - I wish he’d sign a contract and stay with us but he’s obviously going and this has probably been the plan for a while unless something drastic happened this season. It’s going to be an interesting few months if he stays because he won’t want to get injured but he’ll also want to put himself in a commanding position for the best deal he can get.

He certainly has plus points so can understand that. He was a different player under MON than he was under Jones. A new break might be what he needs but be nice if we got something for him rather than riding his contract out

He’s been one of the most bang average strikers we’ve ever had and one of the laziest. I’ve held onto the fact that he has natural finishing ability that others would dream of but if you really can’t be arsed because your living on a name then you deserve something less than Stoke have given you

We are going absolutely no where with him. His holding us to ransom today and turning down decent money as he thinks he can get a prem move in the summer sums up his spell here Promised a lot, delivered next to nothing and has a chip on his shoulder the size of his dad.

If he had been played as an all out striker in 134 games, your, cough, analysis might make some sense. The truth is that he was played wide in most games, when he wasn't just used as a sub. He might have played 34 gasmes as a nine, in which case 29 goals wouldn't be bad. But he didn't.

He’s got no work ethic.

He flatters to deceive…so many false dawns with him, I won’t lose any sleep if he leaves, I do feel a bit gutted about it though as I was excited to see him come through into the first team but it’s just not happened 🔴⚪️
