I don't have a scooby as to why he lost the shirt in the first place. I made the point iversen should fight for the shirt ahead of his first game and DaveF helpfully told me I should shut-up and suck it up. I guess that's what we are now doing. Everyone involved at the club, including Bonham himself, knows heâs our #2 goalkeeper. Thatâs what he was signed as and thatâs what he will remain - if something happens to Iverson then weâll sign another #1 who will go straight into the team. Heâs already played way more games than he ever would have expected to. Fight for the shirt indeed Hilarious! I guess you don't list 'motivation' among your soft skills?

Looking at the first goal yesterday he is down way under the ball and makes the target much bigger his arrival has seen zero improvement in the keeper department another recruitment where we finishing up with no better at best often worse than we had. Simply canât be allowed to continue Nice to see you back on here after 7 games I have never changed my position the Recruitment Martin has been appalling i give you Iversen , Cundle , MMaee , Viidigal , Wesley , Jokic , Haks , McNally , Rose , Hooever twice , Pearson twice , Johnson. Stevenâs Who would honestly sign Hooever and Pearson Twice ! Add to that they sold Brown and Tymon and replaced neither Their position is totally untenable and the idea that Burgur and Junior justify that level of abject failure just nonsense . All that ignored Martins ridiculous monologues about culture of winning , cultural architecht , data driven etc , notably lacking reference to football insight experience and common sense. , What data did they look at to sign that shower .

I was the naughty poster who started the other thread about Iverson which was shit binned... before this one started all as i said was in my opinion at the moment that Iverson didn't look any better than bonham and that if bonham would of conceded 6 goals in 3 games he would be slaughtered on here even if as some say Iverson was not at fault for any of the goals he conceded bonham would of been, i think he will get better with games apart from his distribution which is crap basically, I'm not bigging bonham up either he is what he is a good solid no2 lets just hope we can find a no1 whether it Iverson or an other.

When we signed 18 new players over the summer, did you honestly expect them all to work out and be good signings? Surely you must see that some will work out and others wonât? Youâve accepted it seems that Burger, Bae, and Junior have been good signings, but why have Iversen and Cundle made your list after just two games? Itâs a little harsh isnât it? Vidigal is reasonable value for money, Rose is playing well at the moment, and young Jojic is a long term investment who isnât yet quite ready to come into the team.

Not as bad as you make out 6 of them are loans squad fillers as we try to build from basically rock bottom, the permanent signings are mostly ok bae burger will be sold for profit mmaee there is a player in there upto Schumacher to get it out vidigal needs to play central not out wide he is being asked to play out there but he's not a winger, you really don't like martin (I'm not totally convinced either but got to see) i think Dublin will get us some gems.

Wall covers one side, GK the other - that is the way it has always been. More concerned about his positioning for their 1st goal - too far out and nearly sitting on the ground - got to make himself a bigger target Regardless of wall, a keeper would have more chance in the centre.

Iâm sure heâll be delighted to have found himself starting so much but heâs not stupid, he knows heâs not going to be in contention permanently just because heâs covered somewhat capably (debatable). And if he does find himself starting again this season heâll know that a new #1 will be our first priority in the summer. Be realistic

Yesterday was simply a performance which highlighted all the same faults driven by appalling recruitment . Not as bad a team as you make out again they were flying and playing well before they sacked eustace, a d they just didn't play for Rooney they will pick up under mowbray and we absolutely battered them yesterday it was a travesty we didn't win, yes i know goals win games but i think we are heading in the right direction and goals will come.

I think he could/should have got there, he reaches but the balls already past him.
Thatâs not to say it isnât a fantastic free kick that most keepers in the league wouldnât get close to.
I think he will annoyed when he watches it back, a step more inside and itâs an unbelievable save.

Sum total of all that is minimal cost . Compare that with the undoubted future value of Burger Bae Junior . Jogic ( yet to play ) . Much of the transfer window was keeping within FFP . Next year summer window be very different. No the last summer window was excellent. Mmaee a disappointment to date but thatâs the only one . Perhaps Leris . Canât expect anything different given the cards they had to play with . Gooch the only AN player worth it

Which is to some extent why we sold Taylor (division 1 payer ) Tymon ( we are not playing wingbacks anymore thank god ) and Brown ( nice fat profit ). . Overall ALL IN the financial cost left us a little wriggle room for this window ( and AN pay off )

If we think theyâre good enough, we should put the money down or maybe just use one of our own academy. This constant burning through excessive wages and stupid loan fees for 12 month âfixesâ is frustrating. By the time the footballer has finally started to show some form, itâs 75% away through the season and theyâve got one eye out the exit door anyways. Iâd love it if clubs were limited to one, perhaps two loans per season. It would stop all the ludicrous hoarding of players.

I think that it is a little harsh to be hammering Iverson after a couple of games (although it is typical of this board in many ways đ).
Were either of the goals yesterday his fault?
The first goal was a great finish and the second was a wonderful free kick (where certain members of our wall did not exactly cover themselves in glory).
Give the guy chance to settle in before writing him off.
Bonham, as many have already pointed out, is very much a second choice goalkeeper. He did ok when called upon before Christmas but no one can deny that he consistently made mistakes.

Loan signing certainly have their place and can add value, but I cannot help wondering if we have used it effectively over the last couple of years. We seem to spend a season essentially developing another club's player.
