It was a tough game - never gonna be an easy win as some were expecting - no easy games in this the most competitive of leagues arguably. I'm happy with the 3 points and an end to our winless streak, a clean sheet, away from home against a desperate physical side with a bit of a decent run going on themselves. Weren't too pretty but the goal was sublime - we have definately improved since Neill has fucked off and I'm cautiously optimistic but folk starting threads titled "playoffs" should calm down!

Dont think his comments are that bad to be honest Seen far worse comments from opposition managers, Steve Cooper springs to mind His comments after our draw at their place were absurd, bordering on delusional.

Its how it goes though isnt it, I thought we were fine yesterday . Other teams since the manager change have had problems at Rotherham....Boro battered them there 20 shots 5 on Target ...71% posession and Rotherham won with their 1 shot on target. The Baggies had less posession than us a few more shots (less than us on target) and less corners and won 0-2 with Rotherham having more shots against them than us and more on Target. Its the way Rotherham play now and to a degree how they have played in the past anyone remember last season at the Bet 365? P&G on Friday evening featured an interview with a Rotherham sports journalist & he said that since the change of manager they've changed their style of play & are now a tougher more compative team which definitely showed in parts during the game yesterday. He did say they were on bit of a mini unbeaten run themselves, albeit not collecting a great number of points but that they had become a tough team to beat. You only have to look at their FA Cup match at Fulham a week ago to highlight they are a stubborn team. Fulham battered them in all stats available 66% posession to 34%, 21 Total Shots to 3, 5 on target to 0, 12 corners to 1, yet Fulham only managed to beat them 1-0 with a strong line up, coincidentally after a De Cordova Reid cracker! Yesterday wasn't likely to ever be pretty or a match of beauty, Rotherham are deep in the trench's & fighting for their lives. A commendable 1-0 win scored from a stunning strike in a scrappy game is fine by me.

As deluded as a Moanbray after match interview. But in saying that hopefully we'll send him away chuntering about something or another again after our match next week!

Happy days in my eyes

Was reading a few of their fan comments: "If I were a Stoke fan I’d be worried. Wouldn’t be surprised if they end up getting themselves relegated too. A world away from when we played them at their place where they looked very good" "One of the poorer teams I've seen play at our place this season" The relegation bit is nonsense, but if you look at that game in isolation, having not seen much of us, you can understand that we looked poor overall. We weren’t at our best yday by a long way. Sometimes teams manage to drag you down to their level and that's what that game was. Happens all the time. Result ended up being much more important than the performance

Can see his point as they were never really under pressure but at the same time wouldn't have scored if still playing

I think the Rotherham manager made a serious tactical error yesterday.
They took charge in the second half and put us under a lot of pressure. I was thinking they are likely to score if they keep this up; they were creating chances but not getting any of them converted into shots on target. I was thinking it is just a question of time.
But then out of the blue, he took 2 players off and 5 minutes later another 2. He totally disrupted his own teams rhythm. I was delighted as his actions took the pressure of us.

They pointed out on commentary, Denis Smith I think that they disrupted their own momentum during their best spell. We didn't do nearly enough to put them to bed, although fairly comfortable, but they had a bit of the game where in the past we've thrown games away
