He’ll never have the career Brown will have. Never understood why he got so much less stick than Jacob on this message board. I think if he could marry Jacob's energy and engine and attitude to his undoubted talent there's still a player in there somewhere.

I’ve got nothing against Campbell regardless of when he leaves. They all leave eventually. In fact I’ve got nothing against any of our players.
I think our biggest issue is that Neil just didn’t fit the club. It just didn’t work. It’s been a really tough period of six years for everyone connected to the club. Confidence has been drained individually and collectively from the fans to those running it.
Schuey has injected a little back into all of us, but that’s just the beginning. He’s the man to move this club forward I’m sure he is. If Campbell is part of it then great, if not, he’ll move on and we’ll move on and I’ll wish him well.

I don’t think he’ll sign a new deal. MON came in and sold him the dream amid Rangers interest last time.
I feel Campbell more then most has been quite the victim of Regime changes. He’s a player that very much fits a style and system of a manager, which he didn’t really with Neil.
I do think him and Vidigal on either side of Mmaee has great potential under Schumacher however doubt we’re going to find out.
Shame, but he also doesn’t work hard enough, legend in his own mind, and seemingly injured all the time now.

He's still got his top flight pace and excellent finishing but he's not as agile/nimble as he once was, which is a proper shame as he was going to be a very good premier league player.
Without that agility he finds it harder to take players on with the ball as he can't stop then restart again. He's fine with a ball played in behind though where he can open his legs up and not have to stop.
Whether he goes or stays itll still be a story of "what - if". I'm not sure if we will look to keep him on anyway.

Campbell is a quality player on his day, we haven’t seen him at his best due to injuries and due to us being far from our best for a long time.
If he leaves on a free at the end of the season I’ll have no complaints, he was loyal and signed a new deal under MON and has done well for us when he has been fit enough to play. He formed a good partnership with Powell and perhaps it’s a case of what could have been at Stoke.
Anyway, I think he’ll have a decent career at this level or higher, if he does move on good luck to him, if he finds form and works well with Schumacher though I’d love to see him stay and be the player many of us thought he could be for Stoke. If we get a decent second half of the season from him it’ll be like a new signing anyway, and we can postpone the search for a new striker until the summer.

I really go think it will be best for him and us for him to move on.
With us he is neither a winger or a striker and has tended to become lazy. A new challenge elswhere will either make or break his career

A new challenge elswhere will either make or break his career If Schuey can get him performing at his best then surely he's irreplaceable. It wouldn't be easy replacing a player like Campbell, there aren't that many natural goalscorers out there. If Schuey can get him enjoying his football again he's a massive asset to have in this division and even in the Prem should we ever get there. If we can keep him fit and enthusiastic he will be our biggest signing between now and the end of the season if we can tie him down a bit longer. This club has been a mess, he's had it tough here this last couple of seasons, he needs the fans support not people getting on his back.

He needs a fresh start somewhere else and we need a player who delivers more consistently and isn't always injured. He's probably one of our higher earners too. I'd definitely sell if an offer came in this January and wouldn't renew his contract if he stays till the summer.

He’s the best finisher we’ve had since relegation.
I wouldn’t want him gone quite so fast.

Till he dropped a league with Bristol Rovers & started banging them in, & carried in scoring when they were back at this level went a year without scoring for Stoke I think he was a better player than Ty though

He’s the best finisher we’ve had since relegation. I wouldn’t want him gone quite so fast. In 4.5 years he has scored 25 league goals - an average of under 5.3 goals per season. Not the record you'd expect from even a bang average striker. On the wages he is probably on, I think we can do better.

Best finisher he may be, but how often does he play,if he scores a goal he thinks he has done his bit and usually comes off when he has had enough, team player.... not, heading ability nil, tackling ability nil, closing down ability nil,or make a token gesture that you are going to, but never really getting there , yes we will really miss him,by the way has anyone heard what his recent injury actually is ?

We hear this best finisher a lot and some even claimed he's a 30 goal a season striker if fit
He's not even managed 30 goals in his career for us yet

There is quite a difference. His major problem for us has always been his fitness and injury issues. When fit and played he's way better than a 5 goal a season Championship player. The problem is he's rarely fit or playing.

Can't see any Premiership clubs wanting him, maybe someone like Luton if they came down, will any Championship clubs pay him more than he is on with Stoke? Maybe he is better to sign another contract with us,and hope he can start scoring again under the new regime.

He's nowhere near that standard to be fair Agree re Champ clubs unless say a Leeds sell Summerville scenario and want to replace with a cheaper option kind of deal ..

I intend no disrespect to him, but even before the ACL injury, he couldn't play 90 minutes and a lack of fitness has contributed to some of these injuries. Not enough goal output when playing to justify the money and although he can finish, we haven't seen the "rest of the story" in Ty. (Defending, heading etc.) Really more of an "Urban Legend" than indispensable. For one, he's been out too much to be classified as indispensable.
I don't intimately know his attitude but CAN see that he's more of a "higher maintenance" player, not the polished professional that we're actually paying for. He tends to hang his head, obviously doesn't manage his own fitness well, has reported back overweight multiple times and has never produced a high level of goals expected of a "top striker." It'll come down to value vs money in the end. If he moves on, I wish him well but am not going to need a box of tissues when that day comes.
Willing to see what Shu can do with him, but given his history so far - won't have the stamina, nor the output required is my prediction. This summer, he will demand way more than what he's truly worth and we'll hear the "potential" sales-pitch again. I think he needs to move to greener pastures, decide once and for all if the rumors about how good he is are really true and how badly he wants to remain in the game. Yes, seems we've had what 200 managers in Ty's time here? But a top professional would have risen above that. We can all cite great players who didn't let playing on a sorry team affect their play.
Saying all that, I really do NOT dislike Ty at all, nor do I think he's irredeemable. You watch, he'll try to come roaring back into the shop window just in time for Summer. But that's the whole issue, it's not about temporary flashes of brilliance and making match highlights - he's getting to the age where he needs to produce more than that. But I can't help thinking that most of his effort is about benefitting himself, not a team. I could be entirely wrong about that.

Tbf it would be a huge risk for him to go into everything 100% with such a short contract length left. What if he got a 12month injury next week? How would that change things for us or a new club looking at him.
I suppose it’s the same for many players but it’s a risk Ty has right now. I guess that’s the trade off he’s made by not signing a new deal.
