4 No new manager bounce or impetus. Average League One coach. Really? I think it far too early to judge and also you're asking an awful lot of a guy in the job for what - three days at a push? I will readily admit that I saw nothing today that I haven't seen in abundance before over the last 16 months and suspected what was coming when the team was announced. I rather think Gallagher had a lot to do with that team selection and Schumacher will need some time to adapt and try and make the best from an unbalanced squad in which many are not of the required standard, either in terms of ability and/or attitude. So I'd suggest we might wait a while before making such brash statements as yours. A brash statement doesn't necessarily mean it's not true.

8 from me, significant improvement especially 2nd half, positive subs and I hope he's seen the best right sided player we have, well played Junior.

6.5 10 -2 Wrong line up -2 Wrong game plan +0.5 Nice trainers = 6.5 Agree baring the trainers. Shockers.

An average league one coach wouldn't have taken plymouth up as champions. That's very true. He's a good League One coach. I guess then, using your ‘logic’, he is the very best league one coach, and a slightly below average Championship coach when leaving Plymouth. Taking into account budget, and points vs spend, probably a top 5 championship coach. Whereas you seem to be an average Sunday league fan.

4 No new manager bounce or impetus. Average League One coach. 2 days with the squad and we getpathetic outbursts like this. No wonder it's a managerial graveyard when it's populated by such judgements. Why would anyone wish to be scrutinised by such ill-informed know-nothings?

I've said (after consideration) that he's a good league one coach. What's the problem?

Ridiculous thread. AN would have got a 2 maximum. Win and you get a 10. Lose and you get a 4/5. Most pointless thread on the oatcake.

4 No new manager bounce or impetus. Average League One coach. I would personally say that his substitutions did give us impetus.

7 Didn't lose. We really need a good January 3 new faces minimum in Jan - GK, CF (one min) and CB or there is a high chance we go down

I won’t judge him today as I remain convinced Gallagher had the most input into that starting XI. But his proactive subs were a real positive…..

4 No new manager bounce or impetus. Average League One coach. I would personally say that his substitutions did give us impetus. Fair point. But I think in the situation we are in I expected a bit more bounce from the word go. We need to get on the front foot straight away and thought that Steven would be in their faces to get this done. The players just didn't seem to be playing for a new manager. Perhaps the players are just so shit.😁

I think he will need time to change that. I think we all know that the team is short in a few areas and it does hurt us but fair play to him for throwing Junior and Junho in early in the second half to turn that game in our favour - think that is massive positive in itself.

I'd have thought today was a massive learning curve for him. Seeing players in a match situation as well as on the training pitch will have given him much food for thought. For the first time in a long while we were better second half so I'll give him a 7

I quite liked his touchline manner. His team selection and subs were good in my opinion. Much the better team in the second half It will be interesting on Boxing day as Brum will have to be more adventurous 7

4 No new manager bounce or impetus. Average League One coach. Is there a wall of shame page so we can keep tabs on these that basically want Schumacher gone after 3 days & 1 game? Obviously Vidigal7 will be right up there

Try reading your posts from today. You could pretend they're posted by someone else & see what conclusion you come to. Is giving him 4 & claiming he's an average league one (or was it below average?) manager your way of saying that you want him to stay and ideally be successful then? If so, apologies for missing that

If he hasn't got enough about him to instill some initial oomph into the team then I'm disappointed. OK?

6. On a par with the recent slight improvement under Gallagher.
We did look like we had more attacking intent and Burger on a couple of occasions was berating the defence to get it forward quicker. However we still aren't creating chances and the defence is still capable of a game changing brain fart- we got lucky the s time.
A draw at home against a relegation rival is a bad result - we really are in trouble and I'm not sure this has been recognised for want it is. The new manager bounce is a myth so no surprise we didn't get one - the real issue is whether Schumacher can actually turn relegation fodder into a team good enough to avoid the drop and that's a gradual process that will take time. I'll take the small incremental improvements.
