I believe that this man is going to turn out to be a very good coach and have a long career in the game. He handles himself impressively and seems to be very confident with his own ability. What’s not to like.

What’s not to like. If he's that good, how long before a PL club comes calling? I guarantee you the minute Everton has his number, he'll be gone.

At the end of the day he'll be judged by what happens on the pitch, not how he talks, what he says, or displays of passion. We had all the talk from Rowett, passion from Jones, calm assurance from MON, dourness of Neil and results from none of them.
I just want 3 points this time tomorrow.
And if he can get another 3 on Tuesday then it will be Saint Stephen's Day and everyone will be looking at the table and working out what miracle is needed to get to 6th place!
In passing, I've also used Schuey and others have used Schumey, which is it?

I wish he'd said 'For the money, obviously' when they asked why he came to Stoke.
And just left it at that.

I'd love it if a new manager, after listing all the positives of the new club's history, infrastructure etc, quipped "..and the money's not bad either" with a little cheeky grin and a wink to the chairman

I thought he spoke well enough. Tricky press conf, given he's only been in the hotseat for a couple of days. I'm glad we got him in with a couple of games to go before the transfer window though.
Interesting insight into how modern football works. Lots of mentions of presentations, meeting rooms and stakeholders from Ricky in there. That's the way of the modern world I guess, but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Take away the scouse accent and it all sounds positive!! Think you may be in a minority, most folk like the scouse accent as shown in polls. Also it's not that different from pottery, been accused of being a scouser on a few occasions. I used to get it all the time when I was working down South, always thought I was a Scouser. In my opinion, our Potteries accent is far worse than any Scouse accent I've ever heard and I've worked in Liverpool a lot as well.

Everton these days...all they want is a manager that can keep them out of trouble. Which Stoke will be a fine test of whether he can deliver that. Promotion? He wants that according to his presser, we all do, but is it likely? Not for a while.

If he turns us around and by some miracle even further down the line gets us back up he can name his price for the Everton job, he knows that, we know that.
We’re then an attractive proposition to an elite younger coach if we’re back in the big time.

My feelings are that this job will break him within 12 months, but I'd have that feeling with pretty much any other manager that we could have realistically brought in.
I hope to fuck that he proves to be the real deal and turns us around, we need some enjoyment back from supporting our club.

Why have people got to knock his accent? He is here to coach a football team, not be assessed on his accent. Yes .. and his touchline attire of course. We want a modern manager wardrobe with some nice suits and shirts. We've got a foreign sounding coach and need a smart continental appearance.

Thought he came across very well. The proof of his ability will come in the form of results but he's not going to turn our current players into world beaters in a short period. He needs time and then we can judge him on that. Good luck Boss.

He hasn't been able to bring stability to the club. Granted, his job was made very difficult by the points deduction and he, and the players, have reacted very well to that challenge. But a winless period down the road, which Everton often has, and his job could be on the line again. Everton could very well look down a division if one of their former players is doing exceptionally well, and everyone knows the Stoke job is one of the worst in busineess, so if he proves himself here, the sky's the limit or somewhere in between maybe..

Dyche is doing a great job at Everton to be fair, it it wasn't for their points deduction they'd be top 10. There will come a time, obviously, where their fans will demand more though, but Schumacher would only ever be on their radar if he absolutely smashes it with us, and time will tell if he can do that.
