I'd take JT. I think he has potential to be a great manager. It all went down hill for Dean Smith at villa when JT left.

Two season two promotions and you’re not convinced but you’ll take someone who hasn’t won promotion? What’s your criteria then? No domestic managers thanks - Potter would be the only exception. That seems silly domestic bad, foreign good mantra is as daft as ignoring the foreign market You wouldn't take good young managers like Evatt or McKenna?

Yer dunner have to dress up like him yer know. Not sure what would be dafter that or all them people who dress up like footballers to go to the match. Especially old fat ones. So you would take a foreign manager who could be crap over a British one just because we’ve had British ones that didn’t work out? All day long providing they had a track record- I'm.not advocating anyone with a EU passport y know - no domestic tripe

Scott Parker two seasons in the Championship two promotions admittedly with decent teams? That’s something most mangers haven’t achieved. If he can get our present “squad” out if this division I have some loaves and fish I’d like him to have a look at. Yeah the squad is dreadful. I’m not even saying he’s my first choice I just can’t believe someone with his record in this division is so easily dismissed.

So getting promotion didn’t matter. You can just fuck him off with a pay off and many thanks once he’s served his purpose. I despise Pulis and many of our fans don’t like it when I point out he was in no way a serial winner. He’s not a bloke I’d ever pick to get you promotion but very few managers would have kept us up that first season or two. Horses for courses. I never understand how much some people despise Pulis. I can understand I thought his football was shyte etc but despise is a bit strong surely. He brought success to the club and put little old stoke back on the map for a bit did he not. Opinions I suppose but for me he was a massive positive overall for the club. I really didn’t like his football. I didn’t like his mentality. I don’t like vindictive bully boy disciplinarian hypocrites. I don’t like his conduct in his legal affairs. Apart from all that I suppose he’s just mildly dislikeable.

This! Can't be bothered with any of the long ball merchants. The fact is it's a very difficult league to get out of and I'd rather have fun watching the games whilst trying to get promoted, since there's no guarantee the ugly way would work The vast majority of season’s end in disappointment. Make it enjoyable No1 priority bar non. Winning is enjoyable. All this we need to play great football is BS. And what got us into this mess.

We may well have to I know that BUT given the choice - and remembering this is a bit of a jovial light hearted thread I would.like us to consider an overseas Coach and not an old school gurner

Probably not but we can live in hope

Anyone who plays wingbacks. We need to sit all candidates down. Explain to them that 5 at the back never works for Stoke and doing so will result in instant dismissal.

I’d take Terry Winner, played under some great managers both as a player and as a coach, sets the standard, knows what quality looks like and we could go back to everyone hating us again Would command the respect of any dressing room and no more half arsed performances What’s not to like
