and what's frustrating badge is that any football team, at any level, anywhere needs no special coaching or skill to achieve that. I disagree with that. For all that Barcelona were beautiful on the ball in the club’s prime, they were also a beast at pressing off the ball. That stuff doesn’t just simply happen, it needs working on. It would be the first thing I would train these useless gits on. Pressing is different to getting to a second ball. At this level almost every other ball is a second ball without a press.

Vidigals airshot volley. It was actually a very presentable chance I remember him saying that he tipped himself to score whenever he was in the 18 yard box. That must’ve lasted until the start of October.

Two players going for the same header This was my favourite, particularly as both of them missed it and it fell to their striker,

Trying to inject some Xmas jollity into proceedings. I’ll start off with Junho’s free kick second half. Centre of the goal, a little to the right maybe. Gooch in acres of space in the right, Junho proceeds to roll the ball directly out for a goal kick, with Gooch still stood in the position he was in before the kick was taken. At that point I don’t no whether the crowd knew whether to boo or laugh… I laughed out loud... surely they actually rehearse free kicks on the training ground...?🤔 Good one: training ground

Their player running to meet a high ball near half way by the sentinel stand, shinning it straight out of play and finishing with a knee slide

For pro footballers to be doing what not even 13 year old grass roots kids do is shocking. I was right in front of it and left just slowly shaking my head side to side wondering whether to laugh or scream abuse. I did neither, just open mouthed head shaking slowly side to side. Tarra Alex, time to go son. It also should have been done an age before. Not sure if it was Gooch or someone stood out there all on their own as soon as the ball went dead. We then waited and waited u till Bannan spotted it, waited for him to come across and make it a lot more difficult and then did it anyway. As you said... sums up the club.

A complete and utter embarrassment.

Bringing on a 3rd centre half in the 80th minute when it's 0-0 against the worst team I've seen for years. The brains trust spent about 15 mins chatting, pointing and generally wasting time was a sight to behold to then come up with that decision.

The throw in we had early on near their corner flag. Gooch threw it Mmaee who gave it back to Gooch, Gooch then passed to Pearson who twatted it back to the goalkeeper. At least once per game this happens and always seems to involve Pearson.

We could do with a Barry bloody Bannan we really could. Proper baller. And all of 5 odd foot tall. I was half expecting to see him nod a header in rising like a salmon between 2 of our defenders. That's how bad AN has made things....

Stewards telling me and my bro 'if someone comes to the seats next to you can you move over' Then when we tell him they are our seats gets all shitty, checks our tickets then stands in front of us. In the second half he then invites all of his steward mates up to stand and talk at the top of the stand 🤭 The positive of this interaction was that we couldn't see the game 😂

There was 2/3 comedic moments at the back once we went to a back 3. Bannan outpacing and outmuscling Laurent was my favourite. An 86 year old midget vs a man mountain. Bannan showed everything that our midfield lacks, even at his age. Guts, determination, pace, reaction time. It’s embarrassing. Laurent is a huge wet lettuce. Surely that was Romain Sawyers.

Was it Stevens who hoofed it up the inside left channel when there was nobody within 30 yards?
So many to choose from unfortunately

What amazed me was when we went to the stunning 5 at the back, they kept running over to the touchline, as they didn't have a clue as what they should be doing!

Giving Laurent the Captaincy back. I can't remember the last time I've seen someone so "not" captain at Stoke. If he was the captain of the Titanic he'd fail to hit an iceberg. What the others must be thinking, Lord knows

There were so many as demonstrated in this thread. One to add is the ball (or maybe thrown-in) down the line in the first half. McNally controlled it poorly on his chest facing his own goal and instead of just bringing it down and passing to the keeper with loads of time to do so, he twatted it back over his head straight out of play.

Neil’s comment at post game interview, "Towards the tail end of the game, I felt as if we would see the game through. Though I would have been really disappointed with a point" ………so, against the bottom club in the league with just one point from away games the manager decides it’s best to see the game through. Just wow.

Yes a good shout that is, to be fair there was a seasons full of ineptitude within the first 45 minutes that a blind man could see that not one of our players could be arsed. The penalty had me laughing the most as the gypsy curse for missing penalties still hasn’t been lifted. I think Laurent’s casual stroll around the park for 85 minutes was worth a mention. I would love to see the pass completion % for Edna Stevens, I think that would be worth a chuckle.

I liked Vidigal's air shot best. It's like they'd been watching video re-runs of 'Best of the Leek & District League' highlights reel as part of the match build-up. I played in that league and we were miles better than that I’ll have you know
