Yeah you've got a fair point there. I guess my Stoke tinted glasses take on it was, it's a fine line in football sometimes, we were well on top in the game and if it wasn't for the red card it could just as easily have been us who got the 4 goals, I can easily envision a scenario where that happens If he hadn't tried to be a tactical genius we may have had a chance. Agree with you there, the way he managed the game after the red wasn't ideal, to put it politely. Was just thinking, without the red, and we score a couple, be might not have needed to get involved in any tactical shenanigans. Tactics were going ok up to then. Summat drops for us in final third and confidence in front of goal kicks in... could have turned out a different story.

Don't fool yourself, He would have felt the neccessity to mickey around with it either way, to show off his tactical genius. I sometimes wonder if his supporters are watching the games or are they hiding behind the sofa. One of them has even told us that we would make a big profit on the players we have bought if we sold them, more than we made on Collins, Souttar,Brown, and Tymon. After 18 League games we are on target to finish with about 52 points this season. Shameful tally, and this after spending millions on a rebuild.

After 18 League games we are on target to finish with about 52 points this season. Shameful tally, and this after spending millions on a rebuild. What strikes me is the inconsistency and unpredictability. Inconsistency and unpredictability in player performances, in team performances, and in AN's tactics and substitutions. And we can't avoid the fact there's been more bad than good. So god only knows but yeah you might well be right, he probably would have mickeyed around with it. I just did get the impression before the red though that yesterday was going to be one of the good games. And big profit? That's a laugh isn't it if we carry on the way we are doing. The proof is in the pudding, and 52 points wouldn't be much of a pudding. Edit: mind you even if we do end up doing not so well, I can still see potential in profit from the likes of Bae, Vids, Mmaee, Burger, Junior. So maybe your point was it would be a shameful tally given we have such potential in the squad? Either way this football club's doing me 'ead in just lately

It's taken me a good 36 hours since the QPR match to get to a point where I can write about Stoke City. I switched off and haven't looked at a Sports report since. I can't even tell you if we lost 4-2 or 5-2.
All the facts are demoralising. QPR's first home win of the season. I think Lyndon Dykes doubled his goals tally for the season. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. We went down to 10 men with the sending off, conceded a penalty, and gave away an own goal. So a bad day at the office in a continuing stream of bad days. I could be just shell shocked but despite all the early promise we seem to be destined for another long miserable season.
