View AttachmentDo they use the two Orange areas for Clayton Wood nowadays? I've played adult football where the bigger box is, and mini soccer in LadsanDads on the smaller one (noted as Trent Valley Archers, but I can see a full size pitch on Google Maps on it) - surprised if they hadnt purchased and developed that, its easily fenced / walled off and accessible from Rosetree Ave Am also surprised that they havent bought/gained control of St Joes playing fields, would seem prime land for pitches, Academy/Womens team etc as a setup (guessing thats frought with legalities and whether St Joes want to sell!) Is the yellow circle part of it? Not noticed that before. Look good pitches on there. Its an amazing transformation really, I played cricket at the Mich a number of times back in the 90s, and football there many times - I scored 4 in one game once on the pitch thats not the astro looking at it, and a cup final goal on the main pitch in front of the Mich Sports Club - it was always a decent facility (if a bit boggy the further left you went!) We played on there for the Oatcake once against a few teams inc Stoke legends probs early/mid 2000s as a tournament (led by Merk (MCF74) from memory) Its a million miles away from the old portacabin and basic fields, and if you think back to the Vic that shitty training pitch by the A500! I guess there is limited space in the city unless you piss a load of kids teams off and take over a bigger venue (ie Roe Lane in Newcastle, The Croft at Penkhull etc) - they probably missed the boat (ie poor planning by the previous setups) when we moved ground to build something purpose built where Longton Rugby is now backing onto Blurton Meadows used by LadsadDads. Was the 4 when you were playing football or cricket?

Will the Michelin Athletic Club remain as part of the new plans? I'm assuming so, the people I still know who work for Michelin tell me it's chronically underused these days compared to even 15/20 years ago when I worked there........

Hooe the Mich club stays being using the gym and facilties for about 30 odd years now. Not as busy as it once was but still gets busy now and again.

I'd give this shower a wooden hut, no electricity and a tin bath in the corner. We've spoilt the buggers for too long for no return.

It would have to be in the second team training building. Wooden hut, no electricity and no tin bath, just a bucket.

Great opportunity for a couple on here to dust of their moaning mittens fresh from the ground inprovments and find something wrong with this. As always, I look forward to the day the team on the pitch matches the recent endeavours off it. Another good improvement to the infrastructure of the club. I'll have a go: You can invest all you want in infrastructure, but if you don't have a left-back at the club and the chairman is xenophobic and can only choose a manager from the tiny piss-pot pool of managers from the British Isles and categorically refuses to look elsewhere - then what is the fecking point. The club will not move forward while they are here. Oh dear is it a full moon tonight?
