For risk of breaking the thread Paul, I won’t reply to your video. I will say that this is exactly what I expected. This fake uproar about the tragedy of what has happened earlier today in Dublin now shown to be a basic excuse to burn and steal shit. Has there actually been a protest or did people just go out to steal shoes in the name of the little kids in hospital from the get go? Patriots, the lot of ‘em. Yes thanks for doing that mate. I did worry but that I could wreck the page by constructing such a post (apologies if it goes that way admin) but hopefully others will follow your lead. 🤞

😁 Last time was in there was a few very nice Japanese ladies spending the cash Not a Comic Book Guy in sight I spent a couple of weeks in Tokyo about 10 years ago and concluded that every 3rd Japanese woman i saw was as fit as the proverbial butchers dog. The missus was going insane with my rubber necking 😆. I reminded my lass that I much prefer chubby birds like you love. Not many chubby Japanese birds that I saw over there 😆 Yep They're a bit nice in general No shortage of Eye Candy in Tokyo

Any excuse for the scruffy cunts to go looting. Get the fucking water cannon out. A friend of mine has a share in a pub near St Stephens Green. He said is getting out of control, people coming in with the intention of no more than hassling customers , nicking phones, bags etc. Not locals , they've been handling them for years . Cash points are becoming dangerous to use

Blaming far right ideology is just bullshit.
These aren’t far right ideologues they are just lawless scumbags.
There is a rising sense of disgruntlement with the number of migrants in Ireland and the perception that they are treated far better than the natives in need

No excuse for this thuggery is there? There isn’t it’s disgusting but let’s face it it’s not just a right wing thing. Sadly there’s people who will take advantage of any protest or cause. They’re criminals not protestors. Well perhaps not even criminals let alone far right..... Angry, disaffected young people on streets, says Irish Times correspondent Kitty Holland, the Irish Times's social affairs correspondent, speaking via video call on Newsnight .Copyright: . Earlier tonight, the Irish Times's social affairs correspondent gave her take on the people causing disturbances on the streets of the Irish capital. Kitty Holland told BBC Newsnight the unrest happened in Dublin's inner city, where "there's a lot of poverty, there's a lot of run-down deprived areas just immediately cheek-by-jowl with the city centre". She said there were a lot of angry, disaffected young people living through a cost-of-living crisis and "a chance to go up against the authorities, go up against the police is taken by young kids". "They aren't politically motived young people, these are people who have seen an opportunity to get out and have a riot and essentially, they're grabbing it."

Sounds more like a failure of 'trickle down' free market capitalism, rather than a migrants or far right issue.

Indeed.
History shows time and time again that during periods of economic difficulty it's always migrants or some other minority group that are identified as the cause of the problem, as if they have any impact at all on large scale macroeconomic decisions and outcomes!
You'd think people would figure this out eventually, but there are an awful lot of quite dim folk out there, easily attracted to the idea of foreigners, any out-group really, being the problem instead of looking at what might really be creating left-behind, disaffected, poor young people with bleak futures.

When “protestors” start looting / smashing up shops / attacking police they begin to lose the argument however good the cause. What is the good cause? I’m generalising not talking about this issue specifically but as always it has to be about politics and not the idiots / criminals that attach themselves to both sides of the argument.

Apart from your usual sniping from the safety of your keyboard, what's your take on it then mate? I don't need my keyboard to snipe behind Huddy My take on it is that the people of Ireland are getting fed up, they seem to be having issues with immigrants being moved en masse into hotels over there like they are over here and people have had enough? Add onto this a few things that have been reported to have happened and its like a tinderbox?
