Favourite - cakes baking Least favouritr - smokers' breath As an ex smoker of a few years , agree with you as you get quite acute with who smokes around you and the odour it gives... Fave smell - freshly laid tarmac.

Playing 'old fart's who should know better' football on a Saturday evening which inevitably ends with me hobbling upstairs to the bath:
Good smells - Radox muscle soak; the first whiff of my 'cheat' beer just as my bollocks break the water and; the satisfactory concentrated smell of my own farts as the bubbles break the surface.
Bad smells - my own bollock sweat pealing off the sodden shorts; the unmistakable stench of my own mortality and; the smell of wife's monster shit as she decides 15 minutes into my bath is the perfect time for a jobby and general catch-up despite having a bathroom downstairs.

Another winner, especially here is the cooking smells from the bistro on a summer evening while wandering around the small bay, particularly the steak and garlic aromas that drift on the air. Don’t invite jesusmcmuffin over then he’ll throw up all over you There a field in Slaughter Hill near Crewe where obviously wild garlic grows. I actually take a detour due to the waft . There's also a garlic bread factory or was on the way to Whitchurch. Whoever put temp traffic lights outside it one Summer am sure did it to upset me as sitting in a car on a hot day with the stench if 50 p garlic breads being baked isn't nice

Petrol for me too.
I'm sure the petrol stations smelled stronger back when I was a kid. Bet it was bloody health and safety that ruined it.
In Arizona you can get a good whiff because there are no rules on covers etc. mmmmm.

Favourite - good weed 🙂
Least favourite - it was nearly the Stoker's mess on a warship the morning after the first foreign run ashore in a while, but the smell emanating from a Basset Hounds arse after eating a banana was truly horrific 🤮

I used to love the smell of record shops in the early 1970s.

Certain smells are like a time machine that can whisk you back to your younger days. Playdough as mentioned above. 'Clan' pipe tobacco, only have to think about that and I'm back on the old Stoke end at The Vic. Castrol 'R' racing oil - used to put a spoonful of that in a tank of fuel on my old Triumph Bonnie to get that classic bike racing aroma. Guilding/decorating shop smells - Being an ex ceramist, I should know exactly which aromatic oils I'm referring to, but the smell of walking through a decorating shop full of young totty is something I'd love to relive. Patchouli - Another smell that reminds me of a couple of women that I used to frequent back in the day Candy floss and hot dogs - Newcastle fairground (and more young women probably) And loads more that will come to me in due course no doubt.

Good aromas, onions and garlic bring sautéed.
Worst smell ever, chicken shit. I remember the Old Man getting some to fertilise the garden one year.

When I lived in Weston Coyney the Pointons Offal Truck used to go along Weston Road. That was a bitter old stench I recall.

Worst is morning breath, my own included when I've not flossed 😆 I used to walk home from school every day past the Walkers Nonsuch Toffee factory on Normacot road, the smell of boiling toffee was immense. They used to have a skip out back as well that was full off toffee which didn’t meet standards, used to get bag fulls. What a time to be alive!

Favourite smells: Bacon as it's frying or a nice chicken jalfrezi cooking away. Least favourite: Cat shit by far the worst of all and not to be mistaken for a jalfrezi.

I believe, if I close my eyes and concentrate I can still grab the memory of my first Castrol R. Exeter Speedway. Come on you Aces.
