Bonham 7.5 Another good performance by Jack! Hoever 6, OK McNally 7, our best defender Rose 5, too many misplaced passes, but defended OK. Stevens 5, not his best game, but OK. Pearson 7.5, another good performance, MOM. Burger 5, very inconsistent performance. Johnson 5, way too many misplaced passes today! Leris 5, his worst game in a long time. Gayle 4, why pick him at all? Vidigal 4, his worst game in red and white. Haks 5, too many wrong decisions. Wes 5, not much movement around him, and another hopless ref as well didn't help. Junho 5, not too much impact. Gooch 6, busy player. Laurent 4, very little impact. Playing Gayle there worked very well against Middlesbrough but he was back to his dire self today. Wesley is no better though his first touch of the game today was that bad he was out of breath chasing after it. He’s just a wildcard to thrown on because of his size. Wesley can hold the ball up and play good passes when there is movement around him. Gayle only has his workrate and absolutely nothing else! To be honest he isn't Championship standard any longer in my opinion, but if you think he is worth starting games I really struggle to see what you see.

You crack me up! You are incredibly harsh !!! 3 for Leris, Hoever and Johnson! 4 for Vidigal! Hilarious stuff! Made my evening Bayern!! They were wank. Leris looked like his feet were on the wrong legs and then he’d put his boots on the wrong feet from there. Johnson can’t pass. Hoever was lazy and stupid. And what did Vidigal do? He looks absolutely knackered. Can't disagree with that today. I know the weather conditions made close control difficult but too many players had poor games and our passing was dreadful. Vidigal didn't deserve a 4 though.

Bonham 8 Hoever 6 got in good positions but wasted them- awful in last 10 minutes McNally 7 Rose 6 Stevens 6 Pearson 8 mom Burger 7 Johnson 4 couldn’t pass water Leris 5 his poorest game - needs to go on the outside now and then Gayle 5 Vidigal 4 doesn’t look fit
Wesley 5 Haks 4 I am struggling to see his qualities Jun Ho 6 needs to be given a start to get properly involved Gooch 6 should have been used earlier

5s give me a fuckin break 7 was the lowest score on offer Strange game you watched MoM would have been a generous 7. Really low quality game both teams probably got a point more than they deserved. Penalty shootout for a single point would have been more apt.

Bonham 7 - alert, commanding and did what he needed to do well Hoever 6 - Looked tired second half. Shocking throw second half and some poor choices on the ball McNally 7 - Solid performance Rose 6 - Defended well but a few misplaced passes and one could of resulted in a goal Stevens 6 - Rough time against Bowler, lacked the pace to get forward Pearson 8 - literally held the midfield together second half, great tracking back especially against Meite as he burst into the box second half, only midfielder who could string two passes together second half Burger 6 - struggled to pass to a player in red and white, anonymous second half Johnson 6 - tidy at times but wasteful in possession Lleris 6 - Started well but dropped off Gayle 6 - 2 half chances, just doesn’t offer much Vidigal 6 - completely anonymous
In a nutshell we defended reasonably well thanks to Bonham, McNally, Rose and Pearson. On the ball we were awful apart from nice switches of play at times from Rose, Burger and Pearson but the short simple passes we couldn’t make. Real lack of final ball and the ball not sticking up top. Wes for someone of his size really doesn’t do enough, I’m sure he has lead boots.

Bonham 7 Hoever 5 ( didn't lok up for it , I like Hoever, but would have preferd Junior today McNally 8.5 MOM Rose 7 Stevens 6 Pearson 8 Burger 7.5 ( thought he did well, in contrast to some opinions, needs players to pass to) Johnson 5 ( did have some great games in the past, but not consistent enough to be part of what we need to go up) Leris 6( I'm very much a Leris fan, but not his day today) Gayle 5(an enigma, he can do it...but probably won't at Stoke) Vidigal 5 ( not his day, expectations too much, needs a rest)
Wesley 7 Haksabanovic 6( not on long enough I'd start him of I could) Junho 5 ( probably good enough....in a good confident team,) Gooch 7 ( great utility player yo have) Laurent 5 ( too inconsistent, not regularly dominant)
For me to get out of the division we need to develop a tough defence( perhaps we are getting there?), goals will come from mistakes as much as good/ great play But above all else....we need an injury free, above average, consistent striker ( January?)

Dropped in to have a look today as my game was postponed. Thought Cardiff were happy for a point or try one through the middle and try and snatch something. Stoke slow turgid display. Bonham had little to do but dealt with everything he had to. Defence you got to be able to build from the back far too many misplacrd passes to nobody or hit too hard. Midfield same no real creative spark, Burger did well in the first half spreading the play, the rest not descript. need to make space and control the ball rather than trying to get rid. Forwards created nothing, did not read the game and got caught offside when he was furthest man across. Did not really trouble the goalkeeper to make a save. Thought it summed up the championship quite well plenty of endeavour and enthuaism very little quality. On this showing neither team is anywhere near a promotion place. Must be choosing the worst games as in 4 games not seen Stoke score or even look likely too.

Most people scoring Stevens higher than Hoever. I must have been to a different game. Stevens offers far less than Hoever getting forward and Bowler had him on toast virtually the entire time he was on the pitch. Very lucky there was no end product. I was both glad and quite mystified when their manager took him off.

Hoever on thin ice . Good going forward but Junior is a better defender already and he is only 19.
Mind you, you could say Lowe is better than Gayle at 18 , given that Gayle looks nailed on to fluff any chance, big or small .

The defensive triangle of Bonham, Rose, McNally and Pearson were all excellent yesterday.
Perhaps the need for a centre back and keeper are not as keen as previously feared.
However, after yesterday, the need for a strong goalscorer to lead the line is even more urgent.

Bonham 7.5 Hoever 4 McNally 7 Rose 5 Stevens 6 Pearson 7.5 MOTM Burger 4 Johnson 4 Leris 4 Gayle 4 Vidigal 4 Basically Bayern's with average +1 for a lot of them. I agree that the forwards shouldn't get 7s, but an average of less than 5 for a defence that kept a clean sheet is beyond ridiculous IMO. Yours is a bit better, but still to low.

Bonham 7 looked solid
Hoever 6 was an outlet, good control, cross near the end was criminal McNally 7 good enough Rose 5 too many errors Stevens 5 didn't do anything really
Pearson 7 good but lost his man for one of their late chances Burger 4 was appalling from big Wouter, looked as if he was high! One good ball for Gayle? Johnson 5 not much better
Vidigal 5 anonymous Gayle 4 pointless playing him Leris 5 started ok went pear shaped
Subs can't be arsed.
Overall 5 we all looked so poor in possession. Hope a one off

I try to use 5 as average/par rather than 7, I think that's why I usually give lower than some folk. I just can't give rose above par when he almost cost us the game giving them the ball in situations that have cost us in the past. Luckily they were as bad at the final ball as we were!
