Brannigans Beef & Mustard, no contest. It’s almost a cliche, the undoubted king of the crisp. Loads of bite, superbly flavoured how it should taste. Used to get a bag from Brayfords with a big bap and a Cornish pasty before embarking on a Peak District walk. Seen what Brayfords is now? So fucking depressing

As a crisp connoisseur, I can recommend a few drop of Worcestershire sauce on a bag of ready salted give them a shake. Goes down a treat

Brannigans Beef & Mustard, no contest. Top shout. Mustard just elevates crisps to the next level. A work meeting down south provided Real Ham & Mustard crisps every day, if I ever pick the venue we're going back there.

Our own Burts Crisps made here in Devon are my favourites. Mature Cheddar & onion or Devon Roast beef are my stand out flavours.

They’ve got them in the machine at work the cheers I agree are beauties. A lovely thick crisp high on flavour. Along with the Jelly Babies I’ve given them a pasting over the last few weeks.

Has anyone noticed that unlike chocolate that the packs are getting bigger? They’re “Grab Bags” aren’t they? And cost about £1 - £1.50.

Tayto Cheese & Onion Sensations Sweet Chilli McCoys Flame Grilled Salt & Shake Roysters T Bone Steak
Probably my top 5 for small/regular packets.
For larger sharing ones I do like my doritos cool flavour with salsa. M&S do some great packets too. Kettle Chips and ODriscolls also do nice larger packets.
Special shout out for the Sensations mango and chutney poppadoms too which are similar to crisps

If we're going to include 'snacks' as part of the crisp market, which the manufacturers do, then Cheesy Wotsits are numero uno . Still going strong from the 1970's, albeit now Walkers not Golden Wonder, just a little bit longer in the market than Pot Noodle . As I mature (get old ) I find my digestive system cannot cope with the majority of flavoured crisps / snacks especially Doritos and anything Smokey Bacon flavoured. I stick to Ready Salted nowadays. Most 'new' flavours fail due to how difficult it is to replicate without recourse to artificial flavourings. Wotsits do use real cheese
